Anaesthesiology UKMMC Your safety is our priority. The department is headed by Assoc. Prof.

Our Anaesthesiology & Intensive Care department provides anaesthetic and intensive care services in Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, UKM Medical Centre in accordance to national and international standards. Dr. Raha Abdul Rahman (2014-present) with over twenty consultant and specialist anaesthetists and lecturers, supported by skilled staff and anaesthetic trainees. Our department provides:
- Comprehensive pre-operative anaesthetic assessment.
- Full anaesthetic provision for day case and inpatient surgery.
- Recovery services, including acute pain management and short term critical care.
- Full anaesthetic provision for obstetric services, including an epidural service
- Care of critically ill patients in Intensive Care with support to the wards and the Emergency Department .
- Postgraduate training in the anaesthesia and intensive care field
-extensive educational and training as well as clinical audit and research
