Pahang Corporate Management Services Sdn. Bhd. ("PCMS"), MUIP Holdings Sdn. Bhd. ("MHSB") and PlusVibes Group ("PlusVibes") successfully hosted the Mental Health & OSHA Roundtable Conference 2.0. The program convened leaders, HR Officers, OSH Coordinators from across Pahang's GLC ecosystem in a timely effort to strengthen organisational readiness in employee well-being and workplace safely.
The roundtable was organized in response to the evolving requirements under the Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Act 2022 and PRISMA 2024 with a focus on integrating mental health interventions into organisational policies, processes and safety culture.
At its core, this roundtable was just not an event, it was a collective commitment to build resilient, healthy and empathetic workplaces that balance operational performance with human well-being. As mental health continues to shape productivity, safety culture and talent sustainability, strategic collaboration between corporate leaders, government agencies and mental health experts remains crucial and this roundtable was designed to accelerate that conversation.
The conference began with Keynote Address titled "Strengthen Mental Health in Pahang's Workplace" by YH. Dato' Shahrul Nizam bin Abdul Aziz, Board of Directors of MHSB, who also serves as Group CEO, Tanah Makmur Berhad ("TMB").
The session continued by a legal briefing on the latest updates to the Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Act 2022 and PRISMA 2024 by En. Arief Ilham Dinn Othman, Return to Work, Coordinator & Trainer, PERKESO. The conference then continued with an interactive workshop on recognising early signs of mental distress and responding with empathy, supported by real case discussions by Dr. Fitri Zainuddin, Consultant Psychiatrist & Workplace Mental Health Advocate, Universiti Teknologi MARA.
Participants also taking part in a collaborative roundtable session with the agenda "Building Resilient Teams and Supportive Work Environmentโ to identify key workplace stressors and develop practical action plans aligned with OSH and MOH expectations, handled splendidly by Dr. Madiha Fuad, Founder & CEO PlusVibes Group.
The conference concluded with a panel discussion featuring representatives from Government and Industry, YH. Datoโ Sri Dr Sallehuddin bin Ishak, Board of Director of MHSB, who also a Former State Secretary of Pahang, YH. Datoโ Asmin Yahya, CEO of Far East Holdings Berhad, YH. Datoโ Shahrul Nizam bin Abdul Aziz and Dr Fitri Zainuddin focusing on strengthening Pahang's mental health ecosystem and supporting organisations in implementing sustainable workplace well-being initiatives before the closing speech by YH. Dato' Abd Rahim Ahmad, CEO, PCMS.
