Our Story
The UNIMAS Clinical Simulation Centre, established in 2014, under the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UNIMAS, provides simulation-based educational programmes catering to the medical, nursing and health related educations for learners of all levels (inclusive of public programmes).
The mission of the centre is to develop competent, confident, reflective and ethical healthcare providers and learners of all levels by employing state-of-the-art simulation techniques to foster a highly experiential and contextual learning environment to enhance application of knowledge, thereby improving healthcare outcomes.
The centre also collaborates with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre American Heart Association International Training Centre (UKMMC AHA ITC) as a training site for American Heart Association (AHA) life support programmes such as Heartsaver® CPR and First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) which offers participants with official certifications in related courses from the AHA.
