Throwback to last Saturday! We had such an empowering session focusing on Postural Awareness. 🌟

​Instead of just telling the kids to “stand straight,” Ms. Jane guided them to understand their own bodies. We tackled common issues like forward head and rounded shoulders by teaching them how to activate their core and find a stable, comfortable posture on their own. It’s all about building that internal "GPS" for a healthy spine! 🧭💪

​🔥 TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY! We are heading into our final session: Family Bonding activities! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 We can’t wait to see parents and kids teaming up to turn these healthy movements into a fun family routine.

✨ Pilates PlayLab · Day 1 — A Beautiful Start to Scoliosis Awareness ✨

Today at Heal Pilates, something quietly meaningful happened.

A group of kids walked into our space with curiosity — a little shy, a little unsure of what “scoliosis awareness” really meant.
And by the end of the session, they walked out moving taller, standing with more confidence, and smiling like they had just unlocked a new part of themselves.

Under the gentle guidance of our instructor, Ms Ang Jia Huan, the children learned not through memorising instructions…
but through feeling their own bodies.

🔹 How their spine moves
🔹 What balance feels like
🔹 How left and right can work together
🔹 How stability starts from the ground up
🔹 How to find their centre line naturally

No forcing.
No “stand straight!”
Just simple awareness built through play — exactly what we believe in at Avery Tan Physio & Rehab Centre.

And the parents today?
Their presence made everything richer.

There is something powerful about seeing a child explore movement while a parent watches, supports, laughs, and learns along with them.
Moments of “Oh! So that’s how the spine works,”
mixed with moments of pure joy when they discovered what their bodies could really do.

Today, the kids explored their bodies through fun, simple and guided movements.
We focused on helping them feel their spine, understand left–right imbalance and build better symmetry.

孩子们在玩中学习身体平衡、核心稳定与脊柱觉察。
正确姿势,从来不是一句“站好”,
而是让身体「会动、敢动、动得对」。

⚽️💖 周末不想让孩子宅在家看平板?带他来点不一样的吧!

在 Raja Uda 发现了一个超棒的 Pilates Playlab,这里竟然把严肃的“体态训练”变成了超好玩的游戏实验室!而且是由 Avery Tan Physio 团队监制的,专业度满满!👍

带孩子解锁了三个超有趣的环节:

🧩 Part 1:寻找身体的“水平仪” 通过特定的动作,教孩子感知脊柱是否正直。原来预防脊柱侧弯也可以这么有趣!

🧗 Part 2:对抗地心引力 针对现在孩子普遍的圆肩问题,老师通过趣味引导,帮孩子把背部的开关“打开”。肉眼可见的精气神提升!

普拉提对孩子来说,会不会太难?
很多家长最近都问我这个问题。

其实关键不在“动作本身”,
而在“怎么让孩子去感受身体”。

以下是我在带孩子练习时,最真实的观察,也许能给家长一些方向。

🌱 01|孩子的身体意识比我们想象中更快开启
孩子不会像大人一样担心“做对没”,
反而更愿意尝试、探索、体验。
只要方法对了,他们很快就能找到:
自己的中线
怎么站更直
怎么让核心稳定
怎么让身体更轻松

有时真的会觉得,是大人比孩子更害羞 😆

🌈 02|普拉提不是高难度,而是一种“觉察练习”
适合孩子的引导方式是:
简单
游戏化
有想象画面

有一点点挑战但不会挫折
例如让他们想象:
“气球在变大”
“小乌龟缩壳”
“长颈鹿站高高”

比起说“核心收紧”“肩胛下沉”,
孩子对这些画面更有感觉,也更快学会。

🤸‍♀ 03|身体控制变好,很多姿势问题自然改善
我看到最多的变化是:
坐姿更稳定
写功课更专注
走路更挺拔
不容易喊腰背酸
协调性变好
自信提升

不是因为动作做到多完美,
而是他们开始意识到“原来身体可以更轻松、更强”。

👨‍👩‍👧 04|如果家长参与,孩子会更愿意动起来
很多家庭一起做,会让孩子更放松、更愿意投入。
常常看到一家人边练边笑,
运动变成一种陪伴,而不是压力。

这种体验,比“练得好不好”更珍贵。

🌟 05|如果你正考虑让孩子接触普拉提,可以记住这几点

不需要追求完美动作
让孩子以自己的节奏参与
重点是“觉察”,不是“难度”

小班教学更照顾到孩子
老师的引导方式往往比动作本身更重要

只要方法正确,
普拉提对孩子来说一点都不难,
反而是开启身体意识、好姿势、自信心的一个很好的起点。

这次我们把 身体认知 + 姿势觉察 + 亲子互动 放进一系列轻松的小活动里,让孩子在玩乐中建立对身体的信心。
