Prof Dr Christopher Ho Chee Kong
Prof. Dr. Christopher Ho Chee Kong graduated from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysiain 2000 and followed that with his Masters of Surgery in 2008. He then went on toGlasgow, Scotland to obtain his sub-specialization in Urology, completing in 2012. Notcontent with that, he further developed an interest in Sexual Medicine, obtaining aFellowship from the European Committee of Sexual Medicine in 2012 after being trainedunder experts in Oxford and Milan. He then went on to be promoted as a Professor ofSurgery and Urology at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia(UKM) where he taught andpractised. He is now an Adjunct Professor in the School of Medicine, Taylor's University.His current practice is at the Oriental Melaka Straits Medical Centre as a ConsultantUrologist.He is a member of many professional societies, including the International Consultationof Urological Diseases (ICUD) on Men’s Health and Infertility, the Secretary-General forthe Malaysian Society of Andrology and the Study of the Aging Male (MSASAM), andalso a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd), Royal Collegeof Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow FRCS (Urol)(Glasg), American College ofSurgeons, International College of Surgeons (FICS), European Committee of SexualMedicine (FECSM) and American College of Surgeons (FACS).He is also a Member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers Edinburgh (MFSTEd), SociétéInternationale d'Urologie (SIU), Asia Pacific Society of Sexual Medicine (APSSM),International Society of Sexual Medicine (ISSM), International Young UrologistsAssociation (IYUA), Urological Association of Asia (UAA), Council Member College ofSurgeons, Academy of Medicine Malaysia (AM), Malaysian Urological Association(MUA).
He has published widely with over 140 publications in peer reviewed journals as well as5 book publications on issues in Men’s Health. He also sits in the Editorial Board of 10journals (including the Investigative and Clinical Urology journal) and is a reviewer for 24journals (including Nature Reviews in Urology, Journal of Sexual Medicine, BMJ casereports, Journal of Endourology, International Surgery, Urologia Internationalis, AgingMale, Asian Journal of Andrology). He has also secured over 1 million dollars of research grants for 46 research projects.He was also the first Malaysian after 26 years, to receive the International Guest Scholarship Award from the American College of Surgeons (ACS) in 2016
