LASER GINGIVECTOMY FOR CHILDREN

Parents, worry not, it’s painless & no injection needed with Laser! Laser Gingivectomy is a very simple & quick procedure, can be completed within 5 minutes.

We have been waiting patiently for the Right Upper Canine (13) to erupt, Left Upper Canine (23) has erupted 21 months ago.

In June 2025, the first photo here shows no sign of eruption. We proposed the idea of Laser Gingivectomy in hopes to hasten the eruption. However, parents prefer natural eruption.

3 months of waiting, in September 2025, patient’s parents finally agreed to proceed with Laser Gingivectomy.

We reviewed the patient 4 days later, the result is satisfactory. Now, let’s wait for it to fully erupt into the aligners.

This is the 4th year we visit this Preschool. Every year, we do it on my daughter’s birthday month or my birthday to share dental knowledge with her peers.

This year is a special year for us because it’s Abigail’s last year in this school and Aloysius’s first time joining our Dental Education Program. He kept asking Mama to hold hand and sit with him so it’s Papa’s turn to give the talk this year while Mama did the dental check up.

Besides this preschool, we also do this outreach program in other schools in Malacca.

Our team strongly believe that good habits start young. We make it a yearly event to educate the kids on how to take good care of their teeth, how to brush well, what food is good and bad for their teeth.

To them, dentist is not scary at all because they know us personally, seeing us on daily basis during school pick up before they found out we are dentists 🤭

It’s very rewarding to see their (the 4,5,6 year old) positive progress each year, less caries detected with improved oral hygiene 🌟 We hope that the 2 & 3 year old learnt the importance of brushing & get excited to brush daily from now onwards 😉✨

Let us see how SEMCD (Suction Denture) looks like & where the “Suction” come from!

SEMCD solves most of the problems faced by conventional complete denture users such as:

🔹loose denture causing friction leading to multiple ulcers
🔹difficulty in chewing & tearing food into smaller pieces
🔹food lodgement between the palate/gingiva and the denture causing discomfort
🔹inability to eat well causing malnutrition

SEMCD (Suction Denture) has good retention (suction), stability and function to overcome all the problems mentioned above.

With a good set of SEMCD, it restores the eating ability, nutrition, smile & confidence.

I get asked very often by my patients if they need to remove all teeth for them to have dentures. The answer is you don’t have to!

We always try our best to preserve your natural teeth, only removing the hopeless tooth.

Even you have only one missing teeth, u can also get it replaced by denture, other non-removable options are bridge or implant.
