MENTARI Miri Open Booth & Talk Session at Ocean Care Project Office

Today, the Community Psycho-Rehabilitation Support Unit from the Psychiatric & Mental Health Department of Hospital Miri successfully conducted a mental health booth opening and awareness talk at the Ocean Care Project Office.

The booth provided:
✅ Mental health screening & support
✅ Psycho-rehabilitation information
✅ Emotional well-being guidance
✅ Educational materials on PTSD, Anxiety, Stress & Coping

The talk session highlighted:
✨ The importance of protecting mental well-being in the workplace
✨ Understanding common mental health conditions
✨ Reducing stigma and encouraging early support-seeking behaviour

📸 Community Visit Recap — Eye One Recycle 💚♻️

On 21st November 2025, the Community Psycho-Rehabilitation Support Unit from the Psychiatric & Mental Health Department, Hospital Miri conducted a community visit to Eye One Recycle.

We were deeply honored by the presence of Mr. Bryan, who took the time to meet with us and share valuable insights.

✨ Highlights from the visit:
♻️ Mr. Bryan explained the importance of recycling for a healthier environment and community
🤝 A meaningful discussion took place on job opportunities and potential support for individuals living with mental illness

On 25th November 2025, we opened our Mental Health Awareness booth at Sarawak Skills Miri — Safety & Health Day 2025, representing the importance of mental wellness support in the community 🧠🤍

🌿 Our booth was filled with:

🤝 Open sharing between caregivers, students, and the public
❓ Curious minds asking insightful mental health questions

✨ From coping tips to emotional support, mental health education, personal experiences, and encouragement — there was a lot of learning, listening, and heart-to-heart sharing that happened throughout the day 💚

🌟 Family Link Program — Completed Successfully! 🌟

Our Family Link Program, a special support and empowerment event for family members and caregivers of individuals living with mental illness, has officially wrapped up 💚

Held on 22 November 2025 (Saturday) at MYY Mall, Lutong, this meaningful session brought caregivers together from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM to learn, connect, and support one another 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦✨

🧠 What we achieved together:
✅ Shared important knowledge, caregiving tools, and mental health insights
💬 Open discussions that created safe spaces for caregivers to express and be heard
🤝 Stronger caregiver community support through peer connections
🎁 Fun and uplifting moment with our lucky draw session, bringing smiles and excitement to the day!

🌿 FESTIVAL SIHAT ITU SAYA @ RTC SARAWAK SIBUTI, MIRI 🌿

Festival Sihat Itu Saya telah berlangsung dengan meriah di Pekarangan RTC Sarawak, Sibuti, Miri pada 8 dan 9 November 2025 yang lalu.

Majlis perasmian telah disempurnakan oleh Yang Berhormat Dato Lukanisman Awang Sauni, Timbalan Menteri Kesihatan Malaysia.

MENTARI Miri turut mengambil bahagian dalam festival ini dengan membuka booth pameran kesihatan mental, aktiviti interaktif serta sesi perkongsian maklumat mengenai kesejahteraan minda dan emosi.

🌿 Program Kesedaran Kesihatan Mental: “Keseimbangan Emosi, Kekuatan Diri” 🌿

Terima kasih yang tidak terhingga kepada pihak Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Riam, khususnya kepada guru-guru serta pihak pentadbiran sekolah atas jemputan dan kerjasama yang amat baik dalam menjayakan program kesedaran kesihatan mental bertajuk “Keseimbangan Emosi, Kekuatan Diri” pada 15 Oktober 2025 (Selasa), dari 2.30 petang hingga 4.00 petang.

Program ini memberi ruang yang bermakna untuk berkongsi tentang kepentingan menjaga keseimbangan emosi dan membina kekuatan diri — satu langkah penting dalam mengurangkan stigma terhadap isu kesihatan mental.

Tahniah dan syabas juga kepada semua pelajar SMK Riam yang turut serta dan aktif berinteraksi bersama penceramah. Walaupun sedikit kepenatan selepas waktu kelas, semangat dan keterbukaan anda semua amat dihargai. 🌼

Pihak MENTARI Miri amat berterima kasih atas peluang yang diberikan untuk berkongsi ilmu dan kesedaran bersama warga sekolah. Semoga program seperti ini terus menjadi jambatan ke arah komuniti yang lebih prihatin dan sihat dari segi mental serta emosi. 💚

Anjuran: Community Rehabilitation Psychosocial Service

📍 Tempat: Audio Room, Jabatan Psikiatri Dan Kesihatan Mental, Hospital Miri.

Program Sokongan Keluarga ini dijalankan bagi memberi perhatian kepada kesejahteraan ahli keluarga yang menjaga pesakit mental. Penjaga sering berdepan dengan tekanan emosi dan cabaran dalam rawatan dan penjagaan pesakit dirumah.

Oleh itu, Program ini boleh membimbing mereka memahami kepentingan menjaga diri sendiri sambil menjaga orang tersayang. 💚

Melalui sesi perkongsian, ceramah, dan aktiviti interaktif bersama pasukan kesihatan mental, peserta diajar teknik pengurusan stres, komunikasi berkesan serta cara mengekalkan keseimbangan emosi.

Terima kasih diucapkan kepada semua peserta atas penyertaan dan keterbukaan sepanjang program ini. Semoga usaha berterusan ini dapat memperkukuh kesejahteraan penjaga serta meningkatkan kesedaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya sokongan kepada penjaga pesakit mental. 🌸
