Following the recent MoU signing with Yayasan Kek Lok Si on 10 October 2025, students from the Master of Pharmacy in Clinical Pharmacy (MPharm) programme conducted a clinical visit to the Dialysis Unit at Kek Lok Si Charitable Hospital.

The visit was also joined by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hadzliana Zainal, Deputy Dean (Academic, Career & International), Dr. Fatimatuzzahra' Abd Aziz, MPharm Programme Coordinator, Puan Mu’azzah Ismail, Principal Assistant Registrar, Puan Nur Yuhainis Amirnudin, Assistant Registrar, and MPharm students.

Pusat Pengajian Sains Farmasi Raikan Lebih 100 Pelajar Baharu dalam Program Siswa Lestari Peringkat Pusat Pengajian

PULAU PINANG, 3 Okt – Pusat Pengajian Sains Farmasi (PPSF) Universiti Sains Malaysia meraikan lebih 100 pelajar baharu Program "Sarjana Muda Farmasi (Kepujian)" dan "Sarjana Farmasi dalam Farmasi Klinikal" di Dewan Kuliah Y, hari ini.

Majlis dimulakan dengan sesi taklimat "PPSF Overview" oleh Dekan PPSF, Prof. Madya Dr. Nurzalina Abdul Karim Khan, yang turut memperkenalkan barisan pensyarah serta pegawai P&P. Sesi tersebut diikuti oleh taklimat akademik oleh Prof. Madya Dr. Hadzliana Zainal, Timbalan Dekan Akademik, Kerjaya dan Antarabangsa, yang menyentuh aspek akademik serta peluang pembangunan kerjaya. Seterusnya, Saudari Nur Shawani Shaharuddin, YDP Persatuan Sains Farmasi turut menyampaikan taklimat berkenaan aktiviti-aktiviti Persatuan Sains Farmasi kepada siswa-siswi baharu, untuk mempromosikan gaya hidup kampus yang aktif dengan aktiviti sosial yang sihat.

Majlis sambutan ini turut menyaksikan lafaz ikrar pelajar baharu yang dipimpin oleh Saudara Mohammad Syafiq Fikri Mohammad Ismail Hairul, pelajar tahun 1 sebagai simbolik penerimaan rasmi mereka sebagai pelajar Pusat Pengajian Sains Farmasi.

Keunikan Program Siswa Lestari pada tahun ini ialah pada pelaksanaan sesi “time capsule”, di mana pelajar mencatatkan refleksi dan harapan sepanjang pengajian untuk disimpan dalam kapsul khas yang hanya akan dibuka semula ketika mereka menamatkan pengajian pada tahun akhir nanti.

Program diakhiri dengan sesi suai kenal bersama Penasihat Akademik, yang memberi ruang kepada pelajar mendapatkan panduan berkaitan pendaftaran kursus, hal ehwal akademik, kebajikan serta pembangunan sahsiah sepanjang tempoh pengajian.

Academic & Research Collaboration Visit: Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada

23/9/2025 - The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) recently welcomed a delegation from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) as part of an academic and research collaboration visit. Both sides shared insights on their faculty’s achievements and areas of expertise, followed by fruitful discussions to further strengthen collaborative ties in pharmacy education and research.

The UGM delegation was led by Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi (Dean), accompanied by Dr. apt. Nanang Munif Yasin, S.Si., M.Pharm. (Academic and Student Affairs) and Dr. apt. Rer.Nat. Nanang Fakhrudin, M.Si. (Research, Community Engagement, Collaboration and Alumni). They were warmly received by the Dean and Executive Committee members of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, USM.

The visit concluded with a tour of USM’s teaching and research laboratories, including Clinical, Pharmacology, Industrial, and Social & Administrative Pharmacy labs.

A meaningful step towards advancing academic excellence and impactful research together.

Victory for PPSF, USM!
Proud moment for PPSF, USM as we clinched the National Pharmacy Sports Carnival 2025 Championship at UKM, Bangi! With the most gold medals collected, our team once again showed outstanding talent and determination. Special thanks to our advisor, Dr. Thaigarajan Parumasivam, for his continuous support and guidance. This marks our third consecutive win, a legacy of excellence in both sportsmanship and spirit!
