This Global Recycling Day, we’re reminded that protecting food is only part of the journey. When collected and recycled, carton packages can be transformed into new and useful products, extending the value of materials beyond a single use.

Tetra Pak & KPT Recycle, with support from the Urban Sustainability Division, Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), have officially launched Sort & Drop – Recycle the Cartons initiative with AEON as the first nationwide retail partner. Through this initiative, Sort & Drop recycling kiosks will be progressively rolled out across AEON Malls nationwide over the next three years, encouraging participation from F&B tenants within the malls to support carton recycling efforts, with full operations targeted by 2028.

By expanding the initiative nationwide, we hope to offer a replicable model for malls and businesses across Malaysia, encouraging wider participation and greater impact in sustainable waste management.

Together, we continue working to strengthen recycling ecosystems and support a more circular future. 🌏♻️

We are proud to support the MILO®️ Energy for Good 2025 programme through the CAREton Project!

For over 10 years, Tetra Pak Malaysia and Nestlé MILO Malaysia have been working together to drive food and beverage carton recycling, raise awareness, and promote circular economy concept practices across the country.

To date, the CAREton project has collected around 500 million beverage cartons, with many transformed into ECOPEAL roofing tiles and panel boards for communities in need, and most recently, sports equipment for schools.
