We were recently given the opportunity to collaborate with Deleum Berhad in supporting their Chinese New Year CSR programme at Wan Ching Yuen Home for the Elderly, based in PJ.

Our team organised exercise as well as art and craft sessions for the residents. With a total of 22 residents and 16 volunteers, we truly enjoyed every moment engaging with the seniors and assisting them with the activities.

A big shout-out to my amazing team for their support, and to Deleum Berhad for entrusting us to manage the activities. It was truly an honour to be part of this meaningful event.

This was an interesting article from The Star
I personally know someone in her 60s who recently remarried. She mentioned that she never thought she would ever remarry after the passing of her husband, but it just happened. She and her partner had many things in common, which made it easier for them to connect.

It’s lovely to see seniors find love again in their twilight years. The relationship is often at a different level because both parties have already gone through many life experiences.

Ehmmm… maybe I should add another service to our list — Senior Marriage Planner 🥰😂What do you think… is it a yay or nay.

When my late father was diagnosed with cancer, my mum became his primary caregiver. I watched her struggle with frustration, exhaustion, and emotional burnout while caring for him day in and day out. My weekend visits and support felt small compared to what she carried through those nine months—but even those few days made a difference. Having someone to share the burden with, and someone to talk to, mattered.

That experience stayed with me.
It’s the reason I started this caregiver support group.

This space is for caregivers who are supporting their loved ones—to share, to listen, and to be reminded that you are not alone on this journey. Sometimes, all we need is a safe place to talk and be understood.

Every first Saturday of the month, from 10.00am–11.30am, my gates are open to anyone who needs a pause from their routine… just to breathe and talk.

Our seniors at Oretha’s Senior Daycare, Cheras, spent the day bringing butterflies to life — adding colours, patterns, and personal touches to each drawing.

Simple creative activities like this encourage self-expression, stimulate the mind, and gently support fine motor skills. All while giving our seniors a sense of joy and accomplishment.
