When there is rain and means of collecting rain, dengue will be around.
Do you know that there is 4 serotype of dengue and a person can contract with dengue infection 4 times? However, the severity will increase the more times you have dengue. Therefore, it is upmost importance to get vaccinated against dengue virus. It is available in our clinic, come now for vaccination.

Many confused between HPV DNA test and pap smear. Below shows the difference of the both.
Any girls who are sexually active from age 21years old onwards are recommended for pap smear test. Pap smear is a very effective test to screen for cervical cancer.

While HPV DNA is equally important as persistent HPV infection is the main culprit of cervical cancer.

Is your child having a fever?

When should you see a doctor?

For children over 3 years old:
Fever is 38°C or higher, or:
Lasts more than 3 days.
Comes and goes over several days.
They appear very ill, have trouble breathing, or have a stiff neck.
They have persistent vomiting or diarrhea.
They develop a rash with the fever.
They have pain while urinating.
They have a seizure (febrile seizure or otherwise).

In Klinik Medilove, we provide pediatric consultations regardless of age. Our clinic are equipped with FBC machine, swab test and other blood test that is imperative for the diagnosis of an illness.

It is Influenza season again. Every year end, we battle with influenza. Influenza virus is a very contagious upper respiratory virus that causes symptoms of high grade fever, runny nose, cough, sore throat, bodyache and headache.

Especially prevalent in crowded areas in schools and office with single ventilation system.
Thus, it is important to maintain, good hand hygiene and wearing mask at all times.

If possible not to go to crowded area especially for elderlies and children.

Influenza vaccination is a very effective to prevent influenza infection.

RSV or Respiratory Syncytial Virus is a very common virus that causes mild respiratory symptoms to adults and healthy kids, however, may varies in severity in children, especially those with ongoing respiratory diseases or those immunocompromised. RSV can be even life threatening to preterm babies.

RSV is spread through respiratory droplets and through the air. RSV is so common that most of the kids got infected before the age of 2.

The complications for preterm babies and immunocompromised kids includes severe pneumonia, middle ear infection and even recurrent lung infection.

It is important to get immunized against RSV especially in young infants, immunocompromised infants, older age adults and also pregnant ladies to protect the newborn infants.
