We had such a fun outing a few days ago with some of our seniors to Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad ❤️ (once home to the High Court)

When we got there, everyone was just in awe of the beautiful architecture. The iconic building was completed back in 1897, designed by Arthur Benison Hubback and A.C. Norman in that classic Moorish style. Some of our seniors even started sharing their own old KL stories, which made the whole visit feel extra special.

We kept things slow and relaxed. Walking, taking photos, and chatting along the way. Sometimes it’s really just about getting out, enjoying the fresh air, and being together.

A gentle reminder that it’s not about how far we go, but who we share the journey with 🥰

Throwback to the 8th day of CNY ✨

For the 3rd consecutive year, the amazing Lion Dance team from Catholic High School brought their vibrant energy and festive spirit to celebrate Chinese New Year with our seniors 🧧

Our seniors always look forward to this special performance, there’s something so heartwarming about watching these talented teenagers light up the home with their drums, energy, and powerful lion dance moves. The joy on our seniors’ faces says it all ❤️

Bravo to the wonderful young gentlemen and ladies from Catholic High 🫡 thank you for sharing your time and talent with us. We can’t wait to see you again next year! 🥁🦁✨

Brushes out, festive mode ON 🧨

Our calligraphy session felt like the official start of the CNY countdown! One stroke at a time, the red papers filled up with good wishes, big dreams, and lots of excited chatter. You can really feel that “CNY is coming soon!!” energy in the air 🎉

Now the walls are getting dressed up, hearts are getting ready, and the anticipation is REAL. Angpaos, good food, family time… we’re so ready for you, Chinese New Year 2026!

Let the happy countdown begin ✨

Pre–CNY vibes are in full swing! 🧧✨

Some of our lovely ladies (and of course Roger 😄) from Kyoyu took a little outing to Thean Hou Temple yesterday to admire the sea of red lanterns and soak in the festive atmosphere. The smiles, the colors, the excitement, all setting the mood for a joyful Chinese New Year ahead! ❤️🏮

Moments like these make the celebrations extra meaningful. 🥰

We shared mooncakes, tea, 《甜蜜蜜》, and lantern walks under the round moon, just like when we were kids. A night of laughter, companionship, and childhood memories rekindled. 🌕🎶🏮

在笑声与歌声中，我们度过了一个温馨、滿滿童年回憶的中秋夜。有月、有茶、有歌声，也有彼此的陪伴。

別在照顧爸媽的路上，弄丟了自己。

「為什麼在我做了這麼多事之後，得到的不是感激，而是責怪？」

「為什麼其他的手足可以完全置身事外，只有我孤軍奮戰？」

「為什麼成為照顧者之後，忽然變成家中等級最低下的那個人了？」

到底是什麼情況，讓不能休息的捕手成為如此孤獨、等級低下的人呢？當然是坐在高台上的「觀眾」。

他們可以衣著整潔、纖塵不染的旁觀激烈球賽，還可以指手畫腳、任意批評，忘記了自己原本也應該是場上的打者或捕手。那位暴投不斷的投手，其實也是他們的家人或父母。

急診室的醫師朋友對我說：

「被送進來的老人身邊會有一位形容憔悴、意志消沉的人，一看就是主要照顧者，他的臉上甚至沒什麼表情，只有疲憊。接著來的是其他家人，精神飽滿、情感豐沛，一聲聲的問：『怎麼會這樣？前幾天不是還好好的？怎麼搞的？』」

朋友說，他真的很同情那個照顧者，很想對其他人說：「你們如果天天在照顧，就會知道怎麼搞的了。」

很多時候，照顧者的等級是低下的，不管曾經是弱勢或強勢的那一個。

在照顧現場，照顧者感受到自己心中的曲折，也看清了高台上觀眾的樣貌。那些願意走進場中、為照顧者遞一杯水或是送上一個擁抱的人，都是品格高尚的貴人。

🎨 Had the pleasure of being accompanied by a few art-loving seniors this afternoon for a visit to Artas Galeri’s anniversary group exhibition — and wow, what a visual treat!

59 Malaysian artists, both young and senior, showcased a vibrant mix of styles and stories. From abstract wonders to nostalgic strokes, every corner sparked colourful conversation (and a few cheeky critiques by the seniors 🤪).

Always inspiring to explore creativity together — with curious eyes, open minds, and plenty of heart ❤️
