This week's Tarot card is the Four of Swords.

This week, make sure you factor in some down time so you can rest and relax. You have been working hard and now it is time to step back and pause for a moment so you can regather your strength and restore your energy for the next phase.

You might choose to take a couple of 'nanna naps' during the day, go on a weekend retreat, meditate daily, or take a digital detox.

Even though you're in the midst of a big project, you need to take this time out right now so that you have the energy for what is to come.

And with Mercury Retrograde in full effect, it might just be the perfect time to go onto hibernation!

In the spiritual community, there is a huge focus on light and positivity. Many of us refer to ourselves as “lightworkers,” and there is nothing wrong with that. But we all have a shadow side.

Our shadow is the parts of ourselves that we don’t want to look at. The darker aspects of ourselves that we repress, ignore, and shove under the rug.

We may try to hide these parts of ourselves – or deny them completely. But the shadow is always there – even if we refuse to acknowledge it. Pretending that our shadow doesn’t exist doesn’t make it go away. That just makes it worse.

“Shadow work” is not easy. But if we can push ourselves outside of our comfort zone and bring our shadow into the light, we’re able to change destructive behaviours, heal past hurts, and become happier and more self-confident.

Thankfully, Tarot is an incredible tool for shadow work. Check out my recommendations for how to use Tarot uncover our shadow selves: www.biddytarot.com/tarot-shadow-work.

This week's Tarot card is the Six of Swords.

This week, you are being asked to make a transition, leaving behind something that was no longer working for you in order to embrace something new. This follows on from the Eight of Cups last week and shows that even though it's disappointing to have to let go, it is an important part of the journey.

There are times when you will be forced to let go of something to which you have been attached, and the process of letting go is often quite challenging. However, the sadness of your loss will soon be replaced by greater clarity, bringing about a renewed acceptance of change. Do not be afraid to let go of whatever it is that is holding you in the present or the past. Instead look to your future and choose the best option that has the greatest long-term potential.

This week's Tarot card is the Eight of Cups.

This week, you may feel compelled to leave something behind that was once very dear to you but has only brought you disappointment and sadness. You may be turning your back on a relationship, job, career, living arrangement or project that was once a source of great happiness to you. You have come to realise that you are no longer getting anything out of this situation and it is causing more harm than good.

The Eight of Cups indicates that it is time to ask yourself what you can do to bring a deeper satisfaction and joy to your life beyond the obvious pursuit of material satisfaction and/or physical enjoyment. You are seeking deeper meaning to life and focusing in on your personal truth. You are willing to let go of your material possessions in favour of something more meaningful. Thus, the Eight of Cups is often reflective of the start of a journey of discovery, particularly on a spiritual level.

Finally, the Eight of Cups can also suggest that you are trying to escape a difficult emotional situation or you are avoiding some major emotional issues and concerns. The Cups in the foreground represent emotional issues that remain very real and very present in your life. Yet you are trying to pretend as if they no longer exist and you are refusing to deal with them.

This week's Tarot card is Temperance reversed.

This week, you may feel as if your life is out of balance and you've lost your connection with your higher purpose. You may be pushing forward in your day-to-day life, but if you are feeling an emptiness inside, then you know that you have lost your way and need to bring balance back into your life.

This may be just the week to pay attention to your self-care and to receive healing from others. You may seek out a 'balance' from a reputable kinesiologist, a healing session from a reiki practitioner or join a meditation group to refocus and centre yourself once again.
Also look to areas of your life where you have taken things to the excess.Remember, everything in moderation.

This week's Tarot card is the Emperor.

The Emperor embodies masculinity. Think structure, rules and control.
This week, you may be focused on bringing more structure, rules and control into your own life, whether it be within your family, work, business or personal life. Perhaps you need to set some ground rules for your kids. Or you need to put in place a routine for your health and fitness. Or you need to focus your energy on your organisational structure and processes within your business or work.

For some, this strong masculine energy can be off-putting especially if you're more in tune with the divine feminine. But remember, both the divine feminine AND the masculine have important roles to play. So explore how you can embrace this masculine energy in positive ways this week.
