In 1975 the Queen Victoria Hospital, a pioneer in women and children’s health, approached well-known chemist Gerald Oppenheim, and asked him to create a specialist skincare product for use in their dermatology wards. Gerald agreed and provided them with what would later become known as QV Bath Oil (named in honour of the hospital). QV Bath Oil was extremely popular, and three short years later, was made available for sale in pharmacy. And QV Skincare, as we know it today, was born.
