Do you often encounter patients with dental anxiety in your practice?

Are you familiar with different approaches that may help manage anxious patients during treatment?

Dental anxiety remains a common challenge in clinical practice. Learning different patient management approaches can help dentists provide a more comfortable treatment experience.

Medik-Link is pleased to support this 2-day workshop organised in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Faculty of Dentistry, focusing on approaches used to manage dental pain and patient anxiety.

A recent incident involving a pickleball player in Sabah reminds us how important quick response and access to an can be during emergencies.

After suddenly collapsing following a game, the player received immediate help from people nearby. CPR and access to an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) helped revive the unconscious individual while waiting for medical assistance.

Incidents like this highlight the importance of emergency preparedness and having access to an AED in public places.

Sudden cardiac arrest can happen anywhere — during sports, at work, or in public places.

Immediate CPR and access to an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can help support someone experiencing cardiac arrest while waiting for emergency medical services.

Increasing awareness and encouraging CPR training can help communities respond more effectively during emergencies.

Tonight, an incident happened at our facility when one of our pickleball members suddenly became unconscious. Thankfully, we had an AED on site.

This was the first time I truly realized how important an AED can be. It helped save our friend’s life.

A huge thank you to all our club members who stepped in immediately — calling the ambulance, organizing the venue, performing CPR, and supporting each other until the medical team arrived.

I may not be able to mention everyone here who helped, but please know that we truly appreciate every one of you who stepped forward tonight. Your quick actions, teamwork, and calm response made all the difference. ❤️
