A clinical study on the effectiveness and Safety of the Inhaled (IH) COVID-19 Vaccine (Convidecia, CanSino) as second booster dose to prevent breakthrough infections is now open for recruitment at Ampang Hospital. Please Whatsapp to 011-3300 6420 (CRC Ampang Hospital) for more details

Anyone who's age is 18 or older who had first booster vaccination and with poor or waning immune response to the first booster dose. These will be mostly elderly persons with comorbidities or immunocompromised people

The potential benefit is probably improved protection from SARS-CoV-2. it is expected that an additional dose will raise the level of antibodies and thus raise the protection from SARS-CoV-2, especially for elderly persons or immunocompromised people

The current intramuscularly administered vaccines (injected into the muscle) will elicit (draw out reaction) systemic immunity without mucosal immunity. For respiratory viruses such as SARS-Cov-2, the vaccine strategy to prevent infection and transmission requires induction of respiratory mucosal immunity

Terms:
(mucosal - the thin skin like lining that covers the inside surface of parts of the body such as the nose and mouth and produces mucus to protect them).

The immune system is the body's defense against infections. Systemic referring to immunity "related to body system".

Immunoglobulin A is an antibody that plays a role in the immune function of mucous membranes.

Apakah itu hepatitis❓
Hepatitis adalah satu penyakit yang menyebabkan keradangan hati akibat jangkitan virus hepatitis A, B, C, D atau E.
Hepatitis B, C dan D p**a boleh menjadi penyakit kronik dan merupakan punca utama kepada sirosis (parut) hati dan kanser hati.

Apakah itu hepatitis❓

Hepatitis adalah satu penyakit yang menyebabkan keradangan hati akibat jangkitan virus hepatitis A, B, C, D atau E.

Hepatitis A dan E ialah jangkitan akut yang biasanya disebabkan oleh pengambilan makanan atau air yang tercemar.
Hepatitis B, C dan D p**a boleh menjadi penyakit kronik dan merupakan punca utama kepada sirosis (parut) hati dan kanser hati.

Apakah itu Jangkitan Hepatitis B and C?

Jom ketahui mengenai Hepatitis B dan Hepatitis C.

Hepatitis B boleh merebak dari cecair tubuh seperti darah dan air mani. Jangkitan virus Hepatitis B boleh menyebabkan penyakit hati yang kronik dan sirrosis hati. Ia adalah penyakit hati terbanyak di Malaysia.

Hepatitis C juga merebak dari cecair tubuh seperti darah dan air mani. Berbanding dengan hepatitis B, jumlah pesakit Hepatitis C adalah sedikit di Malaysia.

Bagaimanapun, individu yang dijangkiti akan menyebabkan penyakit hati yang kronik dan sirrosis hati dengan komplikasinya.

Ambil langkah pencegahan seperti dikongsikan.

Lindungilah keluarga dan orang yang tersayang dengan mengelakkan tingkah laku berisiko. Golongan berisiko juga disarankan menjalani saringan Hepatitis.
