๐ฆท ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐๐ค๐ช ๐๐ฃ๐ค๐ฌ? It's Getting Cold in ๐ฒ๐พ
When the weather turns colder in Petaling Jaya, many people suddenly feel a sharp zing or throbbing in one tooth. Cold air or iced drinks make fluid inside tiny dentinal tubules moveโlike a mini water-shockโirritating the nerve. If thereโs a crack, leaky filling, or gum recession, that shock is even stronger.

๐ง What it feels like (youโll recognise this): a quick electric sting when you breathe through your mouth, sip iced teh, or step into air-con; or a deep, pulsing ache that lingers >30s (especially at night). Sometimes the upper back teeth ache during a cold/blocked noseโthat can be sinus-related and feels like tooth pain.

๐ Common worry our customer tells us
โข โWhy only one side sakit when I breathe cold air?โ
โข โIs this cavity or just sensitiveโwill it go away by itself?โ

We check for exposed dentin/recession, cracked tooth, leaky fillings, decay, or sinus factors. Treatments may include fluoride/desensitising varnish, sealing exposed dentin (bonding/ICON), replacing faulty fillings, or nightguard if you grind. If tests show nerve inflammation (lingering cold pain), we may start a root canal to save the tooth.
Home tips meanwhile: breathe through your nose, cover mouth in cold air, use sensitive toothpaste (daily), warm-water rinses, avoid very cold/sugary snacks at night.
