BPS Case Sharing : PART 2️⃣
During the try-in stage,
we encountered a few challenges:
The ridge was extremely resorbed and narrow causing denture stability difficult to be achieved as there’s limited support for the dentures.
- Dry mouth condition due to radiotherapy
- Weak muscles due to malnourishment as she couldn’t eat well with her old loose dentures

Working together with Dr Khaw Ying Ying
we re-evaluated the design. 🤝
Our initial approach focused on addition,
but the outcome was not satisfactory.
We then shifted to a subtraction approach,
carefully trimming and refining the borders and intaglio surface.
After multiple adjustments,
the denture gradually achieved better adaptation to the oral tissues.
And eventually,
suction was established.

Clinical judgement, technical ex*****on, and close collaboration all play a role💪

在试戴阶段，

最终，成功建立吸附性。
这样的案例再次提醒我们，
临床判断、技术执行，以及医技之间的配合，都同样重要。
