Today, the UCSI Hospital team, led by Dr. Thana, took over SJKT Bandar Springhill for a massive Scoliosis and Flat Foot Screening session.

Our team screened a hall full of students, ensuring that potential musculoskeletal concerns were identified early. For those who required further attention, detailed reports and referral letters have been entrusted to class teachers to share with parents, facilitating a smooth pathway for further investigation at UCSI Hospital

UCSI Hospital successfully conducted a health event at Defence Services Sdn. Bhd. (DSSB) under DRB-HICOM Defence Technologies (DEFTECH) Sdn. Bhd., as part of the Annual SHE Campaign Program, to support awareness on Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) among employees

We are proud to share a significant milestone for our hospital!

Our very first contrast e***a for colonic mapping on a child battling severe constipation was done by our very experienced Radiology (Dr. Ahmad Farid) and Paediatric surgery (Clinical Prof. Dr. Yik Yee Ian) team.

Think of the colon as a complex highway system. For some children, X-rays show us the "traffic jam" (constipation), but they don’t tell us enough about the road itself.

Colonic mapping changes that!
By introducing a contrast fluid into the bowel under fluoroscopy, we create a detailed visual "map." This highlights the exact anatomy, length, redundancy, and width of the large intestine.

This procedure provides the essential blueprint our surgeons need. It helps differentiate between anatomical and motility disorders, ensuring that we choose the right path forward whether that involves specialized bowel management programs or surgical intervention.

It is about moving beyond guessing and providing precise, effective relief for our young patients.
