It is a rare and exciting sight to catch one in the wild, especially since they are nocturnal and usually quite shy.

10 hikers, 2 guides, and 1 empty trail. 🙌 Today’s trek up Nuang via Janda Baik was all about efficiency and great vibes.

Despite having kids in the group, we summited by 10:30 AM—shattering expectations and keeping a solid pace! After a long, well-deserved break at the top, we made it down by 2 PM. Smooth trails and even better company. 💯

虽然有小朋友同行，但大家体力都超好，10点半准时登顶。在顶峰享受了一场超长午餐，下午2点多顺利下撤。没有喧闹，只有最棒的团队和纯粹的森林。这一趟，满分！🏔️

A private date with the mossy forest. 🌿

Guided a group through the Gap - Hulu Semangkok loop today. We finished in just 5 hours, moving efficiently through some of the quietest trails I’ve seen in a while. There’s something magical about being the only group on the mountain.

Completed the Bukit Hulu Bakau 1347m + Bukit Hulu Telang 1377m loop this weekend.

Huge shoutout to my team of 6. Your discipline was top-notch—moving in sync through the night, keeping the formation tight, and conquering those steep climbs together. You guys were amazing!

It was also great bumping into 19 fellow hikers and 3 familiar guides on the trail. The mountain community in Malaysia is truly one big family. 🤝

The highlight? A surprise summit birthday celebration for Erika & Maybel! 🎂

Thank you both for your incredible support and strength. Celebrating your birthday at the summit is a memory I’m sure we’ll all cherish.

Spontaneous Nuang mission: Done in 7 hours! ⚡️

Wasn’t planning to head out this week, but when my old friend Tracy asked, “Any Nuang trips lately?”I happened to be free, so we just went for it!

Starting at 6am was the best move. We beat the massive crowd and had the trail all to ourselves. Reached the summit in about 3.5 hours—nothing but chilly winds, mist, and pure peace at the top. ☁️🌬️

The highlight of the day? Finally meeting a Facebook friend in person on the trails! We’ve been connected online for so long, and it’s amazing how hiking brings people together “in the wild.”

The trail got super packed on our way down, but we were already cruising home. Feeling great and ready for the next one! 🏔️

P.S. Huge shoutout to Tracy for putting up with my “non-stop nagging” all the way up... Hahaha 😂🙏

⛰️ Nuang 2025 完美收官！今年最后一团！🥂
📅 11月12日，Gunung Nuang。带着今年的最后一团 8 人小队来挑战了！

独享山头！ 今天整座山只有我们 8 个人，包场的感觉 真的太爽！🤫

天公作美！ 尽管 KL 市区最近常下雨，但 Nuang 今天超给力！地上很干，全程没有烂泥！👍

最重要的是：Puncak Pengasih 去山顶的路段也干干的，走得超顺！🏃💨

神速完成！ 6am 开爬，2:30pm 大家就全员下山了！💪 我们的小队效率太高了！⏱️

2025年的 Nuang 任务圆满达成！

今日一别，明年再见了！期待 2026 年我们继续征服！🌲
