Good Deeds Always Come Back to You 🌟
Today, I experienced a simple yet heartwarming reminder of how the good you put into the world always finds its way back to you. When I went to buy nasi lemak from a nearby stall, I was unexpectedly given it for free. This small act of kindness immediately reminded me of last week, when we had some extra snacks and drinks at the office, and I invited a Grab driver to join us. Maybe it's all connected—what goes around truly comes around.
This isn’t the first time I’ve witnessed the power of giving. A while back, I was admitted to the hospital with COVID-19, and to my dismay, the hospital wouldn’t accept my card for payment. I was short of cash and feeling quite stressed when a kind soul stepped forward and paid the RM10 I needed. That moment took me back to the campaign I led to empower women to achieve financial independence. It felt like a beautiful full circle, where a small act of kindness I initiated returned to me when I needed it most.
People often ask me if the good you do for others really comes back to you. My answer is a resounding yes. Take, for instance, when I had to file a single petition for my divorce. Just when I needed financial support the most, I received a sum of money from a defamation case I had filed two years earlier. It’s moments like these that reassure me—when you do good, even when no one is watching, the universe has a way of returning it to you.
So, keep spreading kindness, sharing your blessings, and doing good. The universe is always watching, and in ways big and small, it will repay you. 💫
