We've been raised to believe that perfection is defined within a certain frame of conduct, discipline, dress code etc. That makes us feel so concerned, perhaps stressed about what people will think of us if we aren't within that frame.

Beyond the predefined frame, it gave me peace of mind knowing that it's ok to fall, to make mistakes, to have inappropriate behaviour, .... knowing that my intentions are good, willing to learn and to continue this journey,.... knowing that I am doing my best to add value and meaning for a beautiful life.

Yes, I am worthy! I am contented, calm and relaxed within. Aum Shanti! Shanti! Shanti!

Trataka (Candle gazing). Be calm and relaxed. Ensure the flame is steady. Look at the flame without blinking your eyes, just for 3-5 minutes...it helps me work on my eye muscles, enhances inner strength, improves focus and memory, purges out mind impurities ....love the experience of bonding with natureπŸ˜‡πŸ’œ

Forest bathing, or a walk in nature is indeed an interesting way to get prepared for a productive week ahead!

Based on a study developed by Rachel and Stephen Kaplan on ART(Attention Restoration Theory), it reveals that exposure to nature can improve our concentration and ability to focus. ART hypothesises that nature can act as a reset on our brain.

The study and experiments proved that:

1. It improves mental energy and restores attention;

2. The experiment reveals being immersed in nature leads to a significant increase in creativity;

3. Reduces our cortisol levels, the hormone associated with stress.

4. Calms the receptors in our brain and eases our mind, thus helps to concentrate and be productive.

5. The study revealed plants actually exudes something called Phytoncides. These are volatile essential oils that have a stress-relieving effect, thus it helps to boost the immune system.

6. It improves memory. Students were given a memory test, and those who spent time in nature, performed 20% better.
