With its origins being eons ago, this alternate form of ‘exercise’ for the mind and body has been benefitting its followers through the different ages and across the world. In the recent era, while the pandemic has changed everything around us, it has made it all the more important for everyone to have a healthy lifestyle – a lifestyle that is holistic and which not just nurtures the body, but also ensures mental wellbeing. At Yogisha Yoga Center, we seek to catalyze your journey towards a better way of living. As a registered yoga center located in Taman Pelangi Semenyih Selangor, Yogisha teachings consist of Asana practice, Pranayama (breathing techniques), Dhyana (meditation) and Mudras (Energy gestures). We understand that no one size fits all and, therefore, provide several options for you to choose the best fit for you. Our classes include the following:

Letchume Narasiman, who is the founder of Yogisha Yoga Center is a Certified Yoga Instructor and follows practicing the roots of Master SK Durai founder of Sakthi School of Yoga who inherits the BNS Iyengar Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition who was a disciple of the Master of Masters, Thirumalai Krishnamarcharya popularly known as the father of Modern Yoga in Mysore, India. She is also a follower of Agatthiyar Muni and has been exposed to religious studies and art of meditation from her very earlier age, and received "deetchai" from her Guru Aiya Venukobal founder of Sri Agatthiyar Self Realization Center Semenyih.

What a wonderful Thursday Beginner Yoga session!

We flowed through Surya Namaskar, explored gentle inversion-based postures to refresh the mind and body, and practiced Trataka to sharpen our focus and concentration.

To end the session with pure joy, we celebrated our November babies with a lovely cake-cutting moment, happiness truly overloaded! 🎉❤️🧘‍♀️

The yogic practice - cleansing technique 👁️
Trataka is a yogic/tantric method of meditation that involves continuous gazing of eyes at any reference point such as candle flame or any black dots. Trataka is one of the six purification techniques called ’ShatKarmas’ (six actions performed to purify the inner body organs).

A consistent practice of Trataka improves our concentration power and purifies our mind from the disturbances.
