“Light Healing Anti-Inflammatory Fish Broth”

Ikan Singgang is a good, light, healing dish especially suitable for postpartum mummies too because it’s low oil and warming.
Ingredients:
2–3 pieces fish (ikan tenggiri / ikan siakap / red snapper(ikan Merah) )
3 cloves garlic (crushed)
1 lemongrass (crushed)
3 kafir leaves (sliced)
1 pinch black pepper powder
1 small tomato (sliced)
Few sliced carrot pieces
2–3 slices ginger
1–2 pieces asam keping (dried tamarind slices)/air asam/tamarind juice.
2 cups water
Salt to taste

Method:
Add water into pot.
Put garlic, tomato, lemongrass, kafir leaves, ginger, carrot slices and asam keping/tamarind juice
Bring to a gentle boil (5–7 mins).
Makesure the garlic and carrots are soften.
Add fish pieces.
Simmer 5–8 mins until fish cooked.
Add salt to taste.
Add black pepper powder.
Serve warm with rice.

*Nourishing Herbal Soup*

500g chicken, cut into medium size
1 Chinese white pepper soup herbs sachet
10 cloves black garlic
1 corn cut into small pcs
10 red dates
1 tablespoon goji berries
650ml clean water
2 tspoon salt

Seasonings:
1 tspoon oyster sauce
1 tspoon thick soya sauce

(Meal for 2)

Boil water. Add the herbs sachet, garlic, and chicken meat.
Cook for 5 minutes. Add the corns. Add the seasonings.
Cook till corn and garlic is cooked and the chicken meats are tender.
Add the goji berries.
Turn off the heat, cover the soup for 5 minutes.
Ready to serve with hot rice and along with some soft cakoi😍
