☠️🦴 *Bone Week 2021*🦴☠️

We are pleased to announce
that *IMU Orthopedics and Trauma Society (OTS)* will be organizing Bone Week 2021 from *21st June 2021 to 24th June 2021*😍. We will discuss and learn about bone metabolism and different types of bone diseases, its pathophysiology, risk factors, clinical features and treatment plan👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️.

We would like to invite everyone to join us in this upcoming event that will held for four consecutive days🎊. We look forward for your participation to make our Bone Week 2021 a success🤩.

IMU Orthopaedics and Trauma Club is recruiting for new committee members!
Passionate about orthopaedics? Want a chance to gain more experience and develop your soft skills such as event organizing and networking?

We're welcoming preferably Semester 6 and 7 students to be part of our team! Apply now to be a part of IMU OTS next committee! Dateline for submission of applications is on the 31st March 2021!

Once your application is processed, you will be contacted for a short online interview. Don't worry, we don't bite :)

PRESIDENT
1. Oversees all activities in IMU OTS Internal & External.
2. Manages the IMU OTS Election Process.
3. Supports all committee members in their tasks.

VICE PRESIDENT
1. Introduces new events, programmes, external speakers.
2. Builds relationships with external parties e.g. universities, companies, societies.
3. Assesses the efficacy, and benefits, of existing programmes, and make changes where necessary.

SECRETARY
1. Records meeting minutes.
2. Updates member lists.
3. Writes invitation letters to lecturers & professors for events.
4. Prepares a proposal for each event.
5. Regularly checking IMU OTS email for any messages.

TREASURER
1. Ensures all the accounts and funds of IMU OTS is well kept and frequently checked.
2. Manages the events budget and expenses, claim and post-event financial report.
3. Manages food and beverages.

INTERNAL LIASON
1. In-charge of communication between the club and the advisers.
2. Facilitates the communication between the club and faculty members of IMU
3. Facilitates the communication between the club and Student Services Department

EXTERNAL LIASON
1. Build and maintain effective relationships between clubs and societies.
2. To liaise with local companies and organizations in order to identify and maximize fundraising and sponsorship opportunities.

PUBLIC RELATIONS
1. Creates posters and other necessary promotional materials to promote IMU OTS events
2. Official photographer during the club's events

IT REPRESENTATIVE
1. Maintains activity on IMU OTS page.
2. Sets up the PC / Microphones/ Projector before any event
3. Answers messages on the website
4. Works closely with PR (helping each other out)
5. Makes videos

IMUOTS & IMU Cares have teamed up to raise funds for individuals and families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hello friends!
How are you doing? Have you been feeling a little lost and unproductive? Hopefully this upcoming event will help get you out of your rut!

We will be having our first ever online event on Date: 20th of June (Saturday)
Time: 1:30 PM-3.30 PM
Venue: Microsoft Teams

This ONLINE OSCE WORKSHOP will be presented by our very own Associate Professor Dr. Mohammad Arshad Ikram from the Department of Orthopaedics on Microsoft Teams.

The event will focus on topics that are common in OSCE orthopaedics stations. It will also cover some orthopaedics topics as revision for your upcoming OSCE examinations. This event is targeted for IMU Clinical Campus Students (especially Semester 7) but pre clinical students may join as well :)
