🩺🔪 Meet Anne — our new IMU Surgical Society President!

Her passion for surgery began even before med school, but it was a first-year IMUSS x MSSS workshop that truly sparked her commitment. Since then, Anne has been actively involved in surgical symposiums, skill-based events, and key leadership roles — all to build a stronger, hands-on platform for future surgeons.

She believes great leadership is about purpose, not pressure — a mindset inspired by her favourite book, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, which reminds her to lead with clarity and heart. And when things get overwhelming, she finds calm in Tidal by Noah Kahan — a song that flows like steady focus in the middle of chaos.

With a steady hand and a sharp vision, Anne is ready to lead IMUSS into a new chapter of skill, mentorship, and opportunity. Let’s stitch the future together. 💙

Anne will be closely involved in the IMUSS committee members selection process, which we will be announcing soon. Until then, we thank you for being part of this! Stay tuned for more 😎

Skills Surge: Surgical Mastery! 🏥📈

We had more fruitful sessions of in-house training again this month! These short 1-hour sessions allow students to practise essential skills such as suturing and knotting. Additionally, they are exposed to laparoscopy machines and allowed to get a feel of using it!
