Institute for Clinical Research Malaysia - formerly known as CRC ICR is the one-stop centre to meet all your clinical research needs in Malaysia. ICR has 37 Clinical It was established in the year 2000.

The Network of Clinical Research Centres (CRC) is one of the six research institutes under the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Ministry of Health Malaysia. Since then, it has expanded to 37 branches at major hospitals in Malaysia. The headquarters of CRC Network is at Institute for Clinical Research, NIH Malaysia.

CRCSGH was pleased to receive delegates from CIC UMMC for a visit to our First-in-Human (FIH) facility today.

The session provided a valuable platform to exchange insights on early-phase clinical trial readiness, infrastructure, and best practices.

Collaborations like this are essential to strengthen and grow Malaysiaโ€™s clinical trial ecosystem, particularly in advancing early-phase research, capacity building, and cross-institutional partnerships.

โœจ Digital Health Research and Innovation Unit (DHRi) hosted a momentous meeting for AI adoption in healthcare at Artificial Intelligence Community Centre (AICC), NIH on 20 January 2026. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Director General of Health (P&ST), Datuk Dr Nor Fariza Ngah, and attended by National AI Office (NAIO), Digital Health Division, University Malaya (UM), MRANTI, Medical Device Authority (MDA), etc. Four ministries: Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Digital jointly developed AI Nation 2030: Strategy and Action Plan for Healthcare. This landmark strategy and action plan document will guide and accelerate the adoption of AI in healthcare in Malaysia. This document features one vision, three missions, three pillars with five key enablers, and is in line with the aspiration of the Madani Government to elevate the country as the global leader for responsible AI
