Avisena Specialist Hospital is proud to welcome Dr. Mohd Tawfeq Mohd Noor as our new Resident Consultant Physician & Cardiologist! 😁

Dr. Mohd Tawfeq earned his MBBS from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2012 and achieved MRCP UK in 2019, showcasing his dedication to internal medicine. In 2020, he completed his Master of Medicine at Universiti Putra Malaysia.

He trained in general and interventional cardiology at Institut Jantung Negara and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCP Glasg) in 2025. He has also passed the European Examination in Core Cardiology (EECC) and completed Level 2 training in cardiac computed tomography.

We look forward to the expertise and care he brings to our patients and community!

Previously known as DEMC Specialist Hospital, the name AVISENA was inspired by AVICENNA or IBNU SINA (in Arabic), A persian physician astronomer, mathematician, poet and author from the Islamic Golden Age. He wrote more than 400 books on medicine and philosophy. His seminal works, THE BOOK OF HEALING and THE CANON OF MEDICINE are considered medical encyclopedias taht have remained in use and are still relevant after 1,000 years; truly withstanding the tests of time and synonymous with greatness in the medical field.

The Logo itself is a representation of the Ancient Greek symbol for Air, one of the most important elements for all life. The ribbon like design is associated with the gentleness of human touch.
