Here’s the summary for Case 2!

Radiographic Findings:
Caudodorsal, bilateral, relatively symmetrical (worse in the right side) marked interstitial to alveolar lung pattern. Predominant central distribution with relative sparing of the periphery of the caudal lung lobes.

Differentials:
Considering the signalment and peracute history, non-cardiogenic pulmonary oedema was considered most likely

Outcome:
Patient responded to supportive care and O2 supplementation. Was discharged 48 hours later after resolution of the clinical signs

A 1-year-old male neutered British Shorthair presented with history of acute dyspnoea of a one day duration.

Radiographic Findings:
On the lateral view stomach is moderately distended containing gas and ingesta. In the region of the gastric antrum there is a large, well-defined, geometric structure showing a mixed soft tissue opacity with stippled gas superimposed with it creating a “grid-like” pattern.
On the VD view the large gastric luminal structure appears to be separated in two pieces / components. Mild gas distension of multiple small intestinal loops is also present, but a dual bowel population is not identified.

Diagnosis: Gastric foreign material. Highly suggestive of corn on the cob 🌽
Two pieces of corn on the cob were removed endoscopically later.
