Alhamdulillah.

An Obstetric Ultrasound in Primary Care course was successfully organized on 24th January 2026 (8.00 am – 5.00 pm) at Klinik Kesihatan Tanjung Lalang, marking an important milestone in strengthening point-of-care ultrasound capabilities among primary care doctors.

This initiative was made possible with the generous support of our industry partner, IDSMed, who fully sponsored the programme and enabled participating Medical Officers to attend without any course fee. We sincerely appreciate this meaningful collaboration in supporting continuous medical education.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Dr Mohd Daud Che Yusof, Family Medicine Specialist from KK Beserah, Kuantan, for sharing valuable knowledge, practical tips, and clinical experience that greatly enriched the learning session.

Special thanks to the MCH Unit PKD Temerloh and the organizing committee for their strong support, as well as to the facilitators who stepped in at short notice and contributed significantly to the smooth running of the course.

We would also like to thank all participants for sacrificing their weekend to attend and for their enthusiastic engagement throughout the programme.

May Allah reward everyone who contributed to the success of this event and bless the knowledge gained, as we continue moving forward towards the empowerment of primary care doctors. 🤲

🌟 Caring for the Children of Rumah Kanak-Kanak Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom (RKKSHK) 🌟
19 July 2025 | Penor, Kuantan
On 19 July 2025, the Family Medicine Specialist Pahang (FMSPA) had the privilege to spend a meaningful day with the children of Rumah Kanak-Kanak Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom (RKKSHK) in Penor.
🌅 The day started with an energetic aerobic session led by the Physiotherapist from PKD Kuantan.
🏑 We then had a fun telematch for children aged 4–6 years.
🧠 Teenagers enjoyed an engaging “Minda Sihat” (Healthy Mind) activity.
🦷 A dental check-up was also conducted by the Dental Team from PKD Kuantan.
🎨 FMSPA members and their families together with the teenagers gave the hostel buildings a fresh coat of paint.
📚 The children’s library was cleaned and beautifully decorated. FMSPA members also donated books to inspire the children’s learning and curiosity.
🍕 We ended the day by having lunch together with the children and treating them to their favourite – pizza!
🙏 A heartfelt thank you to all FMSPA members and their families for their time, effort, and generosity.
❤️ Special thanks as well to the RKKSHK staff for their dedication and for allowing us to carry out activities at their home.
May this bond of kindness and community continue to grow and inspire.

FMS Pahang technical meeting and leadership course in Taman Negeri Rompin, 23-25th April 2025.

Pahang’s geographical variety is remarkable - from the cool, refreshing highlands of Cameron and Genting to the white sandy beaches along its coastline. Pahang is also home to ancient rainforests, serene wetlands, and picturesque freshwater lakes. Therefore, we always make a point of exploring these must-visit places together, as one big happy family. This year, our annual technical meeting was elevated with a wild escape to Taman Negeri Rompin. Taman Negeri Rompin is teeming with stunning natural wonders, as well as flourishing flora and fauna. We woke up to the symphony of nature and crisp morning air, and as night falls, we embarked on a thrilling night walk, where every shadow holds a mystery waiting to be uncovered.

Leadership training
Leadership is the foundation of any organisation's progress and success. Exceptional leaders inspire, encourage, and manage their people to achieve common goals while encouraging innovation and progress. The training from INTAN (Insitut Tadbiran Awam Negara) provided us with practical experiences to apply leadership concepts and theories.

Grand dinner and appreciation night
For this year’s annual grand dinner, we ditched 5-star hotels in favour of a forest dining meal, while absorbing magnificent views of the ancient tropical rainforest. Despite being so deep in the forest, the dinner team did such an amazing work decorating the dining area. In honour of one of our sifus, Dr Adienuar bin Ahmad Norawi leaving us for retirement, we had a special send-off for him – Dr Adienuar, your contributions and laughter are the legacy you leave behind. No one will ever be able to take your place.

Jeram Panjang Trekking
It is no secret that FMS Pahang is a bunch of adventure junkies. Hence, on our last day, we embarked on a trekking activity that followed the path of the elephants and also, we had a blood party for the leeches!

Lobster lunch at Rumah Rakit Amaraisya
Rompin is famous for its fresh lobsters. So, before everyone leave Rompin, we made sure to feed them with a big feast of lobster lunch while experiencing dining in rumah rakit. May this adventure be a memorable journey for everyone.
