This is an 87-year-old client of mine who experienced a serious fall on 8 January this year.

At the time, she had already been consistently using X39 and Carnosine patches for approximately 5 months.

The injury was severe, with the bone exposed. She immediately covered the wound and went to the trauma unit, where she received a tetanus injection, pain relief, and stitches.

Her wound care included:
• Daily dressings for the first 4 days
• Thereafter, dressings twice weekly
• Ongoing monitoring by a plastic surgeon when a section of the skin did not survive
• Referral to a wound care specialist for advanced dressing management

Despite her age and the severity of the injury, the wound closed within 4 weeks.
The final photo was taken on 5 March 2026.
