Today is World Kidney Day 🩺

Your kidneys filter waste, balance fluids, and help control blood pressure.
Because kidney disease often has no early symptoms, safe and painless ultrasounds are an important tool for early detection.

What to expect during a kidney ultrasound at ERAD:
1️⃣ You may be informed not to eat before the exam and might need to drink a specified amount of water. Exact instructions will be provided based on your case.
2️⃣ Lie comfortably on the exam table.
3️⃣ A clear gel is applied to the area being scanned.
4️⃣ The ultrasound probe creates live images of your kidneys.
5️⃣ The gel is gently wiped off.
6️⃣ The radiologist reviews your scan and prepares a report for your doctor.
