Dr. Kelly Harris - Hands on Health - Chiropractor

Dr. Kelly Harris - Hands on Health - Chiropractor Alternative, holistic treatment of conditions affecting the normal functioning of the spine, joints,

Chiropractic is an alternative form of health care, which primarily treats conditions that affect the spine and surrounding joints, as well as the associated muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves. During your first consultation, which generally takes 45 minutes to an hour, we take a patient history as well as a quick examination top to toe for any other conditions. We then examine the affected areas and advise of the methods of treatment, or referral, should you require attention from another medical specialist. Our treatments include:

Chiropractic adjustment or joint alignment, myofascial dry needling (similar to accupuncture), deep tissue and soft tissue therapy, stretch and exercise therapy, strapping, Kinesiotaping, as well as education. Follow up consults are generally in the region of 30 - 45 minutes. Please note that this practice is contracted into all Namibian medical aid schemes, with the exception of PSEMAS, which we are currently registering with. PSEMAS patients are required to settle their consultations, and claim directly from their medical aid.

Our Story

Dr Kelly Harris was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, but raised in Namibia, attending schooling from grade 1 to 12 at Duneside High School, Walvis Bay. A passion for helping others and alternative health was the main motivating factors that encouraged the decision for Kelly to pursue a career in alternative health. After completing her final year of schooling, Kelly began the Masters in Chiropractic course offered at the Durban University of Technology, successfully graduating on 13 December 2013. Following a year of practice in Durban, she then decided to relocate back to Walvis Bay in April 2015 and in August 2015 Hands On Health was officially open to the town of Walvis Bay.
