Introducing Charmaine Rooinasie… a woman who has risen through the N/a’an ku sê ranks at lightning speed.
Charmaine was born in Namibia’s east in the town of Gobabis. After completing her high school career, she was drawn to the world of food, choosing to study nutrition.
In 2017, the world of the N/a’an ku sê Foundation opened its doors to Charmaine, this young woman being offered a job with the cleaning team. Not one to flounder in just one position, Charmaine’s energy and ambition soon saw her being promoted to waitress, with the role of receptionist of the N/a’an ku sê Activity Centre following quickly thereafter.
Her ambition continually coming to the fore, Charmaine then progressed to head of stock control of the N/a’an ku sê farm. Now she has clinched the position of manager of the Activity Centre, proudly re-opening today, 1 April 2023 under the name ‘N/a’an ku sê Bush Camp’. There seems to be no stopping her!
Hard work and reaching for her dreams aside, Charmaine relaxes by enjoying television and spending time with her beloved two-year-old daughter, Daisy.
“N/a’an ku sê is my home. I came as nothing and am now a manager. I am proud to work for N/a’an ku sê. I want to grow old and spend my whole life here.” And truer words have never been spoken.
