Good morning. I would like to post our year end pictures with this caption for today:

This year, our Roland Physiotherapy team wrapped up 2025 with a theme that kept everyone laughing, “Wrong Event.”
We showed up dressed for the complete opposite of what you’d expect at a year-end celebration, and it turned into the perfect reminder of what this team is all about:
flexibility, adaptability, teamwork, and finding joy in the unexpected.
Whether we’re helping clients recover, supporting each other through busy clinic days, or showing up to a party in outfits that absolutely do not match the occasion… we always bring the right energy.
Thank you to our clients, partners, and community for another amazing year. We’re excited to continue moving, growing, and keeping everyone feeling their best in 2026, no matter what “event” comes our way!

💡 Be like Kauna!
Kauna doesn’t wait for the pain to “go away on its own” — she calls her physiotherapist when her back starts acting up!

Don’t delay your recovery — early physiotherapy helps:
✅ Prevent small aches from turning into chronic pain
✅ Restore movement and strength faster
✅ Address the root cause, not just the symptoms

Physiotherapists don’t just treat back pain — we’re here for:
🦵 Knee or hip pain
💪 Shoulder or neck stiffness
🦶 Sports or overuse injuries
🤕 Muscle strains and joint sprains

Move better. Feel stronger. Heal smarter.

INDUSTRY TRENDS: Introducing the "Broken Wing Sign" for Gluteus Medius Pathology

The diagnosis of gluteus medius pathology—a major cause of lateral hip pain and functional decline—often relies on MRI. However, a new clinical maneuver is poised to become a reliable, accessible alternative.

The study by Sierra et al. (2025) introduces the "Broken Wing Sign," performed in prone with the knee flexed to 90° during active hip extension.

○ A positive sign (≥10 compensatory external rotation) indicates abductor weakness.

💡 This test is clinically valuable, proving easier to execute than the Trendelenburg sign, especially in patients with pain or poor balance. It's a powerful tool to streamline pre-operative planning and optimize MRI use.

Physiotherapy Meets AI!

Did you know the NHS has piloted an AI-powered physio app that cut waiting times by 44% for MSK cases and 55% for back pain patients—saving 856 clinician hours each month?

In Scotland, “Kirsty” the AI physio is already offering same-day virtual appointments—making care more accessible than ever.

But here’s the key:
AI is here to support, not replace physiotherapists.
●Smarter assessments
● Better monitoring
●Enhanced patient engagement

Clinical expertise will always remain at the heart of healing.

The future of physiotherapy is hybrid: human touch + tech innovation.
