🚧 ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE – SWAKOPMUND 🚧
Please take note of the temporary road closures on 20–21 March 2026 due to the Namibian Sprint Triathlon Fun Race 2026, proudly hosted in Swakopmund.
Athletes from across Namibia, as well as international participants, will be competing in this exciting sporting event along the Mole and surrounding areas.
📅 Friday, 20 March 2026
Parking areas at Mole Beach and An Der Mole will be closed from 08:00 until Saturday 19:00.
📅 Saturday, 21 March 2026
Several roads around Mole Main Beach, Strand Street, Tobias Hainyeko Street, Werft Street, and Welwitschia Street will have temporary closures or restricted access between 06:00 and 16:00.
Residents and visitors are kindly asked to plan their routes accordingly and expect possible delays in the affected areas.
🙏 We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank the community for their understanding and support while we host this exciting event in the heart of Swakopmund.

Dear Residents and Businesses of Swakopmund,

Please be informed that temporary road closures will be in place due to the Namibian Sprint Triathlon & African Championships taking place at The Mole.

📅 Closure Period:
🗓 From Friday, 20 March 2026 at 14:00
🗓 Until Saturday, 21 March 2026 at 15:30

Certain roads in and around The Mole and surrounding beachfront areas will be affected.

We kindly ask all residents, visitors, and businesses to:
✔ Plan travel routes in advance
✔ Allow extra travel time
✔ Follow all traffic officials and marshal instructions

The event hosts athletes from across Africa and brings valuable exposure and tourism to Swakopmund.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate the community’s understanding and support in making this event a success.
