Visual perception tools you might have in the home right now!
👀 Cards- Use to discriminate between colors, numbers, and suits. Play card games like Go Fish, Old Maid, and Memory
👀Towel- Hide small objects under the towel and ask the kiddo to memorize them. Then cover them up and remove one object. Can they identify what's missing?
👀Ball- Roll or bounce a ball. Keep your eyes on the ball. Now try to follow it with a finger or flashlight.
👀Puzzles- Activities like crosswords, word searches, and regular puzzles challenge visual discrimination, form constancy, visual closure, and more.
👀 Checkers- Position pieces on the board and then ask the child to copy it onto their side of the game board. Or just play a game of checkers!
👀Stickers- Use them to create memory cards or play a compare and contrast game. So many fun options to build visual perceptual skills using stickers.
