MESSAGE:

The Bible in, 1ST PETER 4:16, says that it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by His name (NLT 2nd edition). The scriptures further make us to understand that Jesus, in an unequivocal statement affirmed: *"I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh to the father, but by me"* (John 14:6).

Having been blessed with such a great truth, then should we as His followers seek the approval of man rather than Him?

As a child of God, do we still need the approval of someone to be happy? If the answer is no, it is pertinent to add that no matter what we do in life, there is someone, somewhere who is not going to like it. Simply put, we cannot avoid people's disapproval. This being so, we had better be well prepared to have men's approval for doing the right thing rather than the wrong thing. Many are doing nothing today and yet men approve of them because of selfish things.

The above brings to mind one important factor of life as propounded by an anonymous writer which states; *"As long as you allow the opinion of others around to matter than God's opinion, it is not unlikely that you are going to fall."*

You don't need other people's approval to be happy since happiness is a state of mind and not opinion that comes from within when one is at peace with one's maker (Jesus) not man.

The big question is, are you prepared to stand by Jesus or man? The choice is yours.

Stand by Jesus: the way, the truth and the life. He will settle you. You will have your peace and you will surely fulfil your destiny here on earth.

As you step out today, please stand on the truth. Stand by the word of God and not by the words of men.

Seek for God's approval even in the midst of confrontations and even if you are the only one saying the truth, it does not matter. You are not alone; the Lord is with you.

*𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕄𝔼𝕊𝕊𝔸𝔾𝔼:*
In this discourse, two words "truth" and "wavering" stand out. They need to be addressed first in order to drive home the real message in today's topic.

According to dictionary meaning, the word "truth" implies the real facts about a situation. However, a seasoned writer described truth as a "prayerful entity". He further likens truth to an oil which will always rise to the surface. It is an indestructible fact that will remain constant no matter how long it takes to cover it. That is why the Bible instructs in Proverb 23:23, "Buy the truth and sell it not." On the other hand, the word "waver' symbolises to lose strength, determination or purpose, especially temporarily. In this context, therefore, without wavering is the exact opposite. It is to stand firm and be resolute. The Bible equates a person who wavers to a wave of sea driven with wind and tossed. Such a person cannot receive anything from the Lord because he is double minded and unstable in his mind (James 1:8).

As a true believer, you must have absolute faith in God before you can please Him. No wonder the Bible affirms, "But without faith it is impossible to please Him for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him" (Hebrew 6:11). Therefore, stand for truth and fear not because it is only the truth you know and apply that can help you in the hour of need or save you in times of trouble.

Are you in trouble in your career or in your business? Begin to examine yourself today. Have you been truthful to your customers, your colleagues, your superiors? Are you the type that wavers or vacillates when you are supposed to declare the truth, due to selfish interest? Today, make up your mind because it is the truth you know and you practise that can set you free.

𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙮 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚, 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨.

𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕄𝔼𝕊𝕊𝔸𝔾𝔼:
Accusers are fault-finders, meaning that they always look for an opportunity to see a fault in their victim for the victim to be accused.

Being a Christian, being alive, being well-positioned and blessed are enough threat to the enemies called accusers to begin to operate or to carry out their evil activities. Accusation is a form of persecution. Esther, Mordecai and the Jews in our Fire Scriptures were accused and were to be persecuted just for doing well in the strange land, but glory be to God of Israel who came into their situation to deliver them.

Many Christians today are victims of wrong accusation and as long as you want to live for Christ, be ready for accusation because accusers are everywhere in offices, schools, business places, and so on. So, if you are good in whatever you are doing, be ready for accusation, Accusers do not want to hear anything good about you, especially advancement in your career; so, they are always happy when people are sad. Beloved, the moment you make your choice of being faithful to God, you begin to have accusers. We were told the story of a man who sharpened his knife for his son for going to MFM. Although the boy escaped death but the father changed his will to disfavour the son. He accused his son of disobedience but the boy prayed and the father was struck down and later confessed on the sick bed that he got the power to kill the boy which backfired against him. The father later confessed Jesus as his Lord and Saviour and the boy later got all he lost.

Daniel, Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego were victims of accusation. So were Joseph and Jesus, but God proved Himself faithful in their lives. I pray for you that the arrows of the accuser shall not locate you, in Jesus' name.

Beloved look unto Jesus, no matter the accusation today and see God in your situation to disgrace your accusers, change every negative attitude in you, develop hatred for sin and serve God wholeheartedly.
