KIDNAPPE*RS “THEY ARE BACK”. Isuochi is beginning to experience another season of insecurity. Pastor Ifeanyi Okeke was on May 31, Saturday evening, atta*cked by some people whom, by their language, he identified as Fulani harders.

It was around 6PM when he was accosted by two young men along Ndiawa - Amata (Aguezi) Road. These communities have a common boundary with the notorious Gariki Cattle Market situated in Lokpa along Enu - Okigwe Express way. From Ndiawa and Amata, there are track roads that can take one to the cattle market.

They persuaded him to follow them into the nearby bush, when he refused to weaken him, they started hitting him with big sticks, and at the same time began to drag him into the bush.

In the process of resisting them, he maneuvered one, but the other brought out his dagger and cutlass. That was when he knew the game had changed. As he put up a fight, they became furious and attempted to kill him with their knives.

While trying to escape, he was matched on the head as they missed his neck. When they tried the second time, he dodged them with his left hand, and unfortunately, they gave him a very dip cut that almost cut off his hand.

As he ran away, they gave him a serious chase but God gave him strength to outrun them. When they saw they could not get him as he had run out of the bush, they retreated. “THEY ARE BACK.”

Kidnappe*rs and ban*dits are back in Isuochi. The past month experienced kidnappings and matchettings by unknown individuals. I wonder what people who trooped into Isuochi for safety would think. May God arise for the people of Isuochi.
