We had the privilege of participating in the VALIDATION WORKSHOP FOR THE COMESA TEN-YEAR GREEN PHARMACEUTICAL MANUFACTURING STRATEGY in Nairobi, Kenya, an engaging and deeply insightful gathering of regional experts, policymakers, and industry leaders.

Our CEO, Prof. Chimezie Anyakora, during his contribution shared key observations that sparked meaningful reflection and dialogue among participants. The discussions throughout the workshop offered fresh perspectives on the region’s progress, highlighted existing gaps, and underscored the opportunities ahead for strengthening pharmaceutical manufacturing within the COMESA region.

The workshop provided a valuable platform for alignment, knowledge-sharing, and collective thinking, as the workshop reinforcing the importance of coordinated efforts in building a resilient and sustainable pharmaceutical landscape across the region.

Today, we had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Hakeem Oshiyemi, MRSB, CEO of QCAT INTERNATIONAL LTD, at the Bloom Public Health office in Abuja.

Mr. Hakeem isn’t just a valued partner, he played a pivotal role as the Lead for the IMPACT Project, one of Bloom Public Health’s most transformative initiatives aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s pharmaceutical quality assurance ecosystem.

The Project has been a cornerstone in promoting Good Manufacturing Practice ( ) among local pharmaceutical manufacturers. Through technical support, audits, capacity building, and targeted mentorship, the project helped many manufacturers take significant strides toward WHO prequalification and global competitiveness.

📊 Our achievements under the IMPACT Project include:
✅ Active support to 5 pharmaceutical companies on their journey toward WHO Prequalification ( )
✅ Training of over 200 professionals across Quality Assurance ( ), Quality Control ( ), and Regulatory Affairs
✅ Establishing what we proudly call “the golden moment of Nigeria’s pharmaceutical sector,” which laid a solid foundation for future greatness

Today, Bloom Public Health had the pleasure of hosting Chinedu Onyekwelu, Partner, Business Consulting – Africa, India & Middle East ( ) at Ernst & Young (EY), alongside FRANK MUONEMEH, CEO of (Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Group of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria).

As part of the ongoing Anambra State Laboratory Optimization Project ( ), Bloom Public Health successfully provided and installed laboratory equipment at the General Hospital, Ukpor, in Nnewi South Local Government Area, Anambra State.

This milestone strengthens diagnostic capacity and reinforces the state’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery through enhanced laboratory systems and infrastructure.

Last Friday, Bloom Public Health was pleased to host Emeritus Professor Ifeoma Okoye MBBS, FWACS, FMCR, Founder and Team Lead of Body Without Spot (formerly Breast Without Spot ), alongside members of her team, at our Abuja office.

The visit provided an opportunity to explore potential collaborations in public health innovation, cancer prevention, and clinical trials, with shared interest in harnessing technology-driven solutions to strengthen disease surveillance, diagnostics, and access to care.

With over 16 years of impactful work in cancer prevention and control, Body Without Spot (BWS) has led nationwide efforts in advocacy, education, and community-based interventions targeting cervical and other cancers.

From 29–30 September 2025, Bloom Public Health joined key partners and stakeholders in Abuja for the Debriefing — a continuation of the ECOWAS Lassa Fever International Conference held earlier last month in Côte d’Ivoire.

The two-day debriefing created space to:
✅ Review conference outcomes and lessons learned
✅ Reflect on scientific contributions and evidence presented
✅ Discuss ministerial perspectives and policy priorities
✅ Strengthen links between science, policy, and practice
✅ Document recommendations and chart next steps for future ELFICs.

With the participation of representatives from OOASWAHO || West African Health Organization, CEPI (Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations), , AUDA NEPAD, Nigeria Health Watch, and other partners, the debriefing highlighted the importance of collaboration, scientific rigor, and translation of research into practice to strengthen Lassa fever response across ECOWAS Member States.
