Have you experienced disaster? Survived the worst catastrophe that you thought would consume you? A near death situation? That leaves fear and constant anxiety in you? PTSD? resulting in depression?

Today being WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY with its theme : ACCESS TO SERVICE, MENTAL HEALTH IN CATASTROPHE AND EMERGENCY seeks to create Awareness on the need to introduce mental health services into emergency response while seeking shelter,safety and welfare for victims and survivors of disasters.

It is important that we understand the effect these disasters and catastrophe does to the human mind, it can impare their ability to live normal life if not handled properly

We call on the government, NGOs and the community to begin to introduce these services freely for the people and promote them, reduce the stigma surrounding mental health

Checkmind clinic will do her part,by creating awareness and giving FREE ONE HOUR THERAPY SESSION to individuals who have experienced any form of disaster in the past or currently

Together we can do it,let's share this post to encourage people and provide support for everyone
