Do you know the first question patients ask after ordering their glasses.

“When will my glasses be ready?”😊

And honestly, we understand why. No one wants to wait weeks just to see clearly again.

At Magna Eye Care, we work hard to make sure you get your glasses as quickly as possible without compromising on quality.

For regular prescriptions that we already have in stock, your glasses can be ready within 24 hours and sometimes even the same day.

If your prescription is for special lenses that have to be produced specifically for your eyes, it may take a little longer. But even then, we usually have them ready within a week.

So most of the time, we deliver faster than most of our patients expect.

While we value speed, we care even more about making sure your lenses are done properly, accurately, and comfortably for your eyes.

A man came to our eye clinic in Abuja for a routine eye examination.

He had previously noticed some vision loss on both of his eyes, especially the right one, but his doctor in Germany told him not to worry about it because it would correct itself with time, and he believed it.

During his examination, we noticed some abnormalities and recommended a glaucoma test and it turned out that he actually had glaucoma.

Glaucoma is called the silent thief of sight because it slowly damages vision without pain or obvious symptoms.

We aren’t actually surprised that his doctor in Germany missed this, because glaucoma is more prevalent in Africans, so it might not have been the first condition they considered.

It is important to check your eyes regularly because that’s the only way to catch glaucoma before it causes damage. If he had not come in to check his eyes, the story might have ended very differently.

It steals vision slowly, that’s why it’s called the silent thief of sight.

The saddest part is that glaucoma does not usually come with pain or warning signs. You can only detect it through a proper eye examination.

This Glaucoma Week is a reminder to take your eye health seriously, especially if glaucoma runs in your family.

If you’ve already been diagnosed with glaucoma, don’t panic. With the right treatment and monitoring, it can be managed and your remaining vision can be protected.

Your sight is precious. Don’t wait until it’s too late.

Headaches aren’t always just stress as most of us think.

A man walked into our eye clinic here in Abuja complaining of constant headaches.

During his eye examination, we found damages at the back of his eye (the retina).

The interesting part was that he didn’t have any other symptoms, no blurry vision, no pain, just headaches.

Thankfully, we caught it early.
With the right medication and a few lifestyle adjustments, he is getting better.

If you have frequent headaches or if hypertension runs in your family, please don’t ignore it.
