*Good morning ladies and gentlemen*

NOTE: Soon the portal will be open for online registration.

NOTE: the portal might not open for remobilization since it’s not stream 1. ( Remobilization portal opens before a the begining of a new batch )

Batch A stream 1 2025 POP is around the corner so get ready to round up your service.

NB: NYSC has not officially mandated NERD Clearance for service. But still go ahead with it to be on a safer side.

*9 Things Nobody Will Tell You About NYSC*

If you are about to start NYSC or you’ve even started already we know you’ve probably heard a ton about how the whole program works. But there are some things nobody will tell you about on average how the program spans, and am here to help you out.

*1. Un-meet expectations*

NYSC just like life, we should know that not all our expectations will be met every time. Majority of the graduate wouldn't serve at major cities. Don’t die on the line trying to get Lagos, Abuja or Rivers.

*2. Standing for queue will test your patience *

At least there is no traffic there.
If they tell you to come by 8 a.m for anything, sometime it means you should come at 12 p.m

*3. Expect the worst*

Don’t waste your precious time. Expect NYSC to frustrate you like everything else in Nigeria is designed to do but in total it’s really not a bad experience.

*4. Don't always go for comfort *

If you get posted to an unfamiliar state just stay there and explore a different culture.

Are you not tired of seeing yellow buses and Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge? You want to spend your whole life in Lagos that’s why you think there are only three tribes in Nigeria.

The best experience are often times away from the comfort of the city and whenever you are if you are lucky you can get retained at your PPA.

*5. Camp is stressful, don't join others in the activities *

Camp is a great place for you to meet people that can help your life. And the activities is part of how to build that bond.
*
6. Khaki is strong*

The khaki they’ll give you is not loyal any small rough play and the thing will tear and disgrace you.

So you better be careful with it and maybe sew a backup at camp if you can, but before you overdo remember you are wearing it legally for only one year.

*7. NYSC is not worth it*

Ask them why did they go for it, the trust is that everyone cherish the experience they have during the program and when it’s all done you’ll actually miss it a little bit.

At least you were collecting 33,000 every month instead of sitting at home.

*8. Don't let your desires lead you astray*

All those ones that’ll tell you not to go for monthly clearance that they’ll help you work it, you’ll be there looking when your mates are passing out.

*9. Fake promises*

All the Uncles and Aunties that told you to wait for NYSC to finish before you bring your C.V. will suddenly disappear.

Know this and know peace.

*GOOD MORNING ALL HAPPY VAL*

Keep the change of PPA Coming (Lagos and Abuja)

*A2*

NB: if you don’t have call up
Number yet don’t worry. It will be assigned to you once d portal opens for registration.

*NOW LETS LOOK AT THE STAGES OF NYSC MOBILIZATION*

(Take your time to read and digest)

There is something important you need to know so that you don’t get confused or put yourself under any undue stress. NYSC mobilization is in stages and once you understand the stages, every other thing will be easy.

▫️ *1st STAGE: Internal Mobilization*

This is when institutions will start compiling their senate list to know graduates that are qualified for NYSC mobilization ( this is d stage u re at currently).

The result of the internal mobilization is the approved senate list. Which will be pasted at the school premises for graduates to check their names and details.

At this stage even if you are not close to school, pls have someone take a picture of it and forward to you. Go through and make sure that your details are well represented.

▫️ *2nd STAGE: Senate List Hard Copy*

The second stage is when your institution will send the hard copy of the approved Senate List straight to NYSC Headquarters Abuja for verification before it will be uploaded on the NYSC portal. ( any error you fail to correct on the previous point will hunt you if you allow it to proceed to this stage, to avoid getting to maiduguri and be sent home, be on d look out for mistakes pls)

This stage is very necessary for the NYSC management because of some institutions that fraudulently mobilize unqualified graduates for NYSC.

*▫️3rd STAGE: Senate List Online*

The 3rd stage is when the senate list after thorough examination by the NYSC management will be finally uploaded on the NYSC portal online. Once your institution’s Senate List is successfully uploaded, you will be able to do your online registration successfully. ( NIGERIAN TRAINED GRADUATE TAKE NOTE)

*▫️4th STAGE: PCMs Senate List Verification*

The 4th stage is when prospective Corps members will start verifying their names on the NYSC portal before they can proceed with NYSC registration.

*▫️5th STAGE* : *Registration*

Please ensure you are eligible to register before you proceed. Upload all the necessary credentials as needed. Ensure you do the thumbprint as required.

*▫️6th STAGE*: *Printing of green card *

All PCM’s are required to print the green card from their dashboard which is part of the required documents to present at the Nysc orientation camp.

*▫️7th STAGE*: *Printing of NYSC call up letter*

NYSC call-up letter is simply a letter that will show your state of deployment, other important information like camp address and date of reporting.

*▫️8th STAGE*: *NYSC 21days orientation course*

A National Youth Service Corps year starts with a 3 weeks orientation course and it is compulsory for all Nigeria graduates mobilised for national service.

*▫️9th STAGE*: *Place of Primary assignment (PPA)*

On the last day in orientation camp, you will collect a letter that will specify the particular place where you will do your service. That is the place you will spend the whole of your service year immediately you leave camp.

Other stages like CDs and other activities comes later.

Thanks 🙏

*GOOD MORNING ALL*

BATCH A STREAM 1 CONGRATS ON YOUR SUCESSFUL CAMPING

KEEP THE CHANGE OF PPA (Lagos & Abuja) COMING

A2 you are next…… Try and do your NERD clearance just to be on the safer side incase it’s required.

*DOCUMENTATION PROCESS AFTER ORIENTATION CAMP FOR A1*

*Documentation for those that redeployed is different from those that didn't redeploy. Below is a guide.*

A) *Those that didn't apply for relocation:*

After parade, you will be given your respective PPA letters by your platoon officers

Take your PPA letter to your PPA for acceptance or rejection, if they accept you let them give you acceptance letter, let them know you have to go back home and pack and they should give you 2 weeks break. If they reject you, no problem, tell them to sign on it and give you a rejection letter, take it to the LGA to see your LGI

Take the acceptance or Rejection signed part of your PPA letter to the NYSC office at your LGA secretariat ( most times the require the full posting letter)

Submit it to the LGI and submit other submittable, then apply for 2 weeks permission to travel and pack your stuffs.

*B: For those that relocated to another state:*

After parade, check your name where they are sharing PPA letter, if your name is not there, good to go✅ if your name is there it doesn’t mean that your relocation failed.

NYSC works with time. Date of PPA posting if done ealier before relocation was approved, you will still get a posting letter.

Wait till relocation becomes visible on your dashboard then you can now conclude.

Check your dashboard, Print your relocation letters from your dashboard after payment to NYSC.

Go to *Nysc State secretariat* in that new state. (You have 21 days from the day your relocation is approved)

Submit your redeployment letter with other documents, you will get new state code and wait for your PPA letter on your dashboard. This can take time depending on your state.

Once posted, print and take your PPA posting letter to your PPA for acceptance

Take the acceptance letter to the NYSC office at the LGA secretariat and submit it

Submit all submittable.

NB: if you have a PPA of choice you can get a request letter from them and submit together with your relocation so NYSC will post u there (some states don’t honor request letter though. Eg:Ogun state and Oyo state )

You are good to go✅

*Safe journey all wishing you a wonderful service year ahead.*

*Good Morning All*

NB: DM for your FLAG OFF (batch B and C relocations that needs approval from state Cordinator before printing their relocation letter)

Batch A stream 1 camp is over today… Today will be the last day you will spend in camp.

Once you wake up bath and freshen up pick your mattress and luggage’s (including your buckets 🪣) to the town hall different from your hostel, join the queue and return your mattress.

Keep your luggage’s to a safe location where your eyes can reach, join the parade let the selected ones do the marching.

Once you guys are done with POP next is posting letters. Pick up yours bid your friends heading to different location good bye and locate a bus to your destination (your PPA)

If you belong to any religious association, there will be bus on ground to pick you guys at a reduced fees. If you don’t belong to any association you can also join the bus at a fee.

If you are posted to rural communities, don’t panic there will be free bus from your LGA to pick the newly posted Corper’s. (Camp may differ)

When you get to the Local govt of posting, head to your PPA and submit your letter, get accepted, return to Nysc secretariat document, then write your leave letter, submit and take your 2/3 weeks leave. (Format for the letter will Be available at secretariat)

If you paid for relocation and you were giving posting letters don’t panic. Your redeployment did not fail. It could be as a result of time of printing the PPA and time of approving the relocation.

Most redeployment are done a day to leave camp and if the posting letters have been printed earlier, yours will also be printed.

Around 10am - 12 pm tomorrow your dashboard will be unlocked, log in click *Relocation* and view. You will see a message requesting for a 1k remitter.

Just travel if you can but as Tomas that U are,u can get to the city locate a cafe pay the money and print so that your mind will be at peace.

⁉️ *BATCH A STREAM 1 WHAT'S NEXT AFTER NYSC CAMP? What you must do after camp*

After NYSC orientation camp on Tuesday what next? This is a question many Corps members are begging for answers. In this post, I will show you 3 things you should do after NYSC orientation camp.

After NYSC orientation camp, next is to collect your posting letter from your platoon officer. Your posting letter will tell you where you have been posted to carry out the National assignment.

After NYSC orientation camp, you will see some people that will travel back homes, some to their places of primary assignment and some others will just be stranded. *DO NOT travel after NYSC camp unless you have been relocated to other state, I will talk about relocated corpers later.*

*After NYSC camp what next?*
Here is what next after NYSC Orientation Camp;

*1. Report to your PPA*
The first thing to do after NYSC camp is to go to your Place of Primary Assignment (PPA). But if you get relocated while in camp, then go to the NYSC State Secretariat in the new state you were relocated for documentations.

However, if you don’t meet up to report in your PPA, you can lodge in Corpers’ lodge or any religious body corpers Lodge, and report the following day in the morning.

Please, make sure you collect your posting letter from your camp platoon officer before leaving NYSC camp because you need to report to your PPA with your posting letter.

Note: When you take your posting letter to your PPA, they will either accept or reject you. If they reject or accept you, they will write it on the detachable part of the letter.

So, whether they accept or reject you, you should take the document the employer will give you to your Local Govt Inspector (LGI).

Tips: *Make one photocopy of your posting letter before taking it to your PPA.*

Example; If your PPA is a secondary school, the principal of the school will stamp the detachable part of your posting letter, and then write either “Accepted” or “Rejected”.

Whether you are accepted or rejected, remember to take the detachable form to your LGI’s office for documentation.

*2. Report to your LGI Office*
This is actually the second step to take. After reporting to your PPA, you will be given a letter that shows whether you are accepted or rejected.

You are to submit the letter to the NYSC Zonal Office or the office of LGI depending on the distance between the Zonal office and the LGI office.

Note: If you are rejected in your PPA, DO NOT proceed to the step 3 until you get another PPA. In most cases your LGI or Zonal Inspector will repost you to another PPA or you find PPA for yourself.

*3. Enjoy your 2-3 week leave*
After you have completed steps 1 and 2, the next is to enjoy your 2-3week leave. You can use your leave opportunity to travel home and meet your people.

Note: Due to delay in getting your ppa etc, Your 3 week leave might end up becoming 2 week leave. Mine was even 1 week leave

But before you travel, you need to write and submit a leave application letter to the NYSC state Coordinator through your LGI.

Thanks 🙏

Happy new week

*GOOD EVENING*

*Note* Lagos and Abuja change of Ppa is available. DM

As we draw closer to ending of camp let’s talk about CDS

*CDS (Community Development Service)*

This is the way you can pay back to your community during service. Ensure you select the one that interest you when you start your service fully after camp.

*OBJECTIVES OF CDS ARE:*

1. Impacting positively on the improvement of rural community life.

2. Developing the spirit of entrepreneurship in the corps members.

3. To utilize the challenges which rural development poses and inculcate in the Nigerian Youth the ideals and capacities for leadership, endurance, selflessness, community service, national service, patriotism and creativity.

4. Exposing corps members to diverse traditions and customs of the host communities.

5. Providing the forum for corps members to experiment with ideas and translate them into concrete achievements thereby relying less on foreign technology and encouraging the use of local raw materials in the ex*****on of projects.

6. Harnessing the enormous talents and skills of corps members into an effective machinery of change in our rural communities.

7. Providing on-the-job training and experience for corps members.

8. Providing complementary service in our National development activities, by ensuring that our under-privileged population learn basic techniques for self-help through the appropriate technology concept being promoted by NYSC.

9. To instil in corps members the tradition of dignity of labour and productivity.

10. To complement the activities of government at all levels in the stride towards national development.

02/02/2026

*GOOD DAY and HAPPY NEW MONTH*

Camp is gradually coming to an end This week is PPA posting and redeployment approval.

DM FOR YOUR CHANGE OF PPA INCAMP ALL STATES

As we prepare for the ending of camp there is need to know what PPA entails.

NB: if you left camp after registration but didn’t redeploy ensure to be in camp on the last day to pick up your posting letter. (For people serving in state that is not Lagos or Abuja and you don’t plan to redeploy)

Else you will have to go to NYSC secretariat for them to print a new one for you.

Only Lagos and Abuja can print from their dashboard. Other states can only print if the change their PPA (reposting) after camp.

🪧 *7 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE ACCEPTING YOUR PPA*

This is a warning to all new corp members who want to have peace of mind and enjoy the next 11 Months of their NYSC service at their different Places of Primary Assignment (PPA). So many people take advantage of Corp Members to achieve the end goal of their companies. In order not to be used like slaves and cleaning rags by anybody, all in the name of serving your fatherland, you need to read this.

Let me give you a picture of what it’s like to be a New Corper. In other words, there is something obvious and common among new corpers:

They are always too anxious to get to their PPA (Place of Primary Assignment) and get accepted so they could return home quickly. Even though they complain about staying at home during the postponement and delay of the date for the camp 😂😂

Perhaps to show their new Khaki to their parents or maybe to slay people around the street. Nevertheless, you are not alone in that, I felt the same urge too just as everybody else. It is normal.

NOTE: Most PPA is good and can be so kind. And remember you will not be the first Corper there.

*HERE ARE 7 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE ACCEPTING YOUR PPA:*

1.*DO NOT BE ANXIOUS*
Don’t be too anxious to get or accept any PPA. There is always enough time.
Believe me, the waiting is worth it. Don’t be too anxious and frustrated that you will jump on a marketing place where you have to be hawking and walking around to get people to buy a product or whatever. You are better than that.

Don’t be like many corps members, who in the name of frustration for a PPA quickly accept a Primary school and end up being treated like Nannies, babysitting and cleaning the mess of kindergarten pupils but if you can do all that, no problem.

2. *GOOD ACCOMMODATION*
I will not lie about this. Most PPA does not have a conducive accommodation for all the Corp members posted under them due to facilities, too much crowd and others. On several occasions, you will have to get accommodation for yourself. Some PPA might provide an accommodation and you might not like it for privacy or other reasons.

Do not have it in mind that every PPA will provide you with accommodation. It is luck sometimes.

I RENTED DURING MY SERVICE YEAR.

There might be many reasons you want to look for accommodation by yourself:
Privacy
Electricity
Internet connection
Location
Conducive part
Environment
…name it…… and more

3. *YOUR FREE DAY MUST BE ALLOWED*
You have the privilege of a day every week, in which you are not expected to be at your PPA at all (usually your CDS day). Your PPA must be ready to give you this day fully. Not expected to work for a few hours on the same day.

It’s a work-free day for you. Your Boss might push you by asking, but you have to state it that CDS days are off.

*NB: Sometimes you will be given 2 days off 1 for cds and the other for SAED.*

4. *LOCAL ALLOWANCE*
That’s the allowance (money) the PPA will pay you at the end of every month, that is if it is a private PPA. This should not be less than 5k, can be more, say 10k, 25k, 50k, 100k up to or even more than 200k. It all depends on the capacity of the PPA.

Let them know you don’t like to be owed, also because many employers are fond of that. You don’t have to be rude about that. You just have to make your point clear. The #33, 000 alone cannot be enough.

Note some PPA won’t pay. I was never paid except 15k at d end of the service.

5. *WORK LOAD*
Don’t let them overwork you. You are not expected to teach more than two subjects if you are in a school.

But sometimes out of compassion, you can take more if you can handle it. So just do what you have passion for.

6. *GATHER INFORMATION*
Gather information from the existing corpers and workers in the organization to know how the management has been dealing with their workers. By this, you will be able to tell if they will be able to keep their promises to you or not.

7. *RULES AND REGULATIONS*
This might not apply to every PPA, however, some PPA do have some rules that you might not be able to abide with. This is common among Mission schools and some organisations.

There are some places they will tell you that you can’t wear this, you can’t do this, a male should not come visit, this, that’s and bla bla bla….Some organisations will tell you to put on tight clothes, and mini skirts to promote their product and bring customers. If it’s okay by you, tell them and if otherwise, tell them to reject you.
So you might need to ask existing corpers stylishly if they have any funny rules here.

They will issue you an acceptance letter after all agreements. And you will take the letter to your Zonal Inspector.

Then you can now go home and come back after the stipulated day.

Do not be too anxious, this is where you will spend the rest of your 11 months. You are not meant to endure, you are meant to enjoy.

Thanks
