Hello Fam,
We are running a series to help you have a better understanding of your immune system so you'll know how to help build it up.

We have broken it down for every lay person to understand.

Your immune system is a network across your body that defends it from intruders that can cause disease.

The first stage of the defense are protective barriers that should prevent access like your skin, the hair in your nostrils (take note when you shave your nasal hair) and acids in your stomach.

However, if these disease causing organisms are able to scale through this first layer of protection, the body still has components in the blood (white blood cells) that wage war against disease causing organisms.

So you see, you need to maintain the integrity of your skin so it can perform its function. When you are tempted to use beauty products that could alter the integrity of your skin, please think twice.
