ARISE & SHINE!
THE RESURRECTION POWER OF MERCY @ WORK
The Good Samaritan — Luke 10:25–37
In Luke 10:25–37, the Lord Yeshua was asked, “Who is my neighbor?”
In response, He told the timeless story of the Good Samaritan—a man not considered religious, yet full of compassion.
While the Priest and Levite saw the wounded man and passed by, the Samaritan stopped, showed mercy, tended his wounds, lifted him, and restored his dying life. (This is indeed “Pure Religion” - James 1:27)
Jesus ended with this command in Luke 10:37:
“He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
PRACTICAL APPLICATION
Let us remember that true love and mercy is to see the other person as an extension of yourself, whether poor or rich.
Therefore, we must be willing to always show mercy to the poor, wounded, forgotten, and oppressed.
for in doing so, we help RESURRECT dying destinies, broken hearts, and nearly dead lives.
Resurrection Mercy is not theory.
It is action.
It is not passive compassion:
It is love in motion!
LET US PRAY 🙏🏽
O GOD, please use me to show love and Resurrection Mercy to vulnerable and nearly dead “neighbors” that I encounter in life.
Empower me to go and do likewise, just as Yeshua commanded.
Amen and Amen!
Shalom,
