We successfully held a powerful and impactful panel session organized by the Association of Resident Doctors, Federal University of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, Azare, focused on the sub-theme:

“Burnout, Work-Life Balance, and Business Sustainability among Doctors.”

The panel session took place on Wednesday, 10th December 2025, at the Conference Hall, Old Site, FMC Azare.

Our representative who is the Head of Youth engagement and Operations Department had the honor of sitting on the panel alongside distinguished professionals:

Prof. Bello Ibrahim – Consultant Cardiologist,
Dean, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare,
Public Relations Officer, Nigerian Medical Association, Bauchi State.

Dr. Muhammad Mustapha – Senior Registrar, Department of Radiology,
North East Caucus Leader, Nigeria Association of Resident Doctors,
Secretary, Nigerian Medical Association, Bauchi State,
Past President, Association of Resident Doctors.

The session was expertly moderated by Dr. Yakubu Bababa Shirama, Consultant Radiologist and Head of Clinical Services, Federal Medical Center, Misau. His moderation made the discussion practical, engaging, and deeply insightful.

We had open and honest conversations on burnout in the medical profession, the importance of work-life balance, and how doctors and healthcare workers can build sustainable businesses without losing their core purpose of service.

The event also featured a dinner and award ceremony to celebrate doctors who have shown exceptional courage, dedication, and commitment to their work. It was a moment of appreciation for those who continue to serve despite the many challenges of the profession.

We are grateful to the organizers for the opportunity and our representative is always proud to be part of conversations that shape a healthier and more sustainable future for healthcare workers.

We join the world in calling for a future where everyone can access quality healthcare without fear of cost, distance, or discrimination. This message is close to our hearts. Every day, we see how access to care can change lives and how the lack of it can hold families back.

Universal Health Coverage is a global slogan and It is a also a basic right. It means mothers getting the care they need, children growing up healthy, and communities living with dignity.

We renew our commitment to bringing health education, medical support, and community-centered services to the people who need them. We will continue to stand for fairness, accessibility, and hope in healthcare.

We are super excited to celebrate our partner company eTrash2Cash for winning the 2024 Prince Talal International Prize for Humanity taking home the Third Prize in Madrid, Spain. This is a very huge achievement, and we are truly proud of them.

For us at www.queenaminami.org, eTrash2Cash is more than a partner. They are our backbone. After collecting plastic waste from our communities, we crush and supply it to them and they have never stopped believing in us from day one. Their support has played a major role in our growth, our confidence, and our ability to keep pushing forward.

This win is well deserved. It is a victory for the entire recycling and sustainability family in Nigeria, Africa and the whole world. We celebrate you today and always.

Today, we celebrate two important global days that remind us of the power of people and the value of our planet.

International Volunteer Day recognizes the countless individuals who give their time, skills, and energy to make communities stronger. We appreciate every volunteer who has supported our work, stood with us in the field, and helped drive positive change.

Today is also World Soil Day. Healthy soil means healthy food, healthy communities, and a healthier future. We all depend on it, and we all have a role in protecting it.

We believe that everyone deserves access to accurate information, quality care, and a community that supports them without judgment. World AIDS Day reminds us that HIV is not the end. With the right care, people living with HIV can live long, healthy, and fulfilling lives. It also reminds us of the importance of regular testing, early treatment, and ending the stigma that still keeps many people silent.

Diabetes is a condition which is challenging that touches families, workplaces, and societies.

With the theme “Diabetes and the workplace” spotlighted this year, we recognise how important it is for every working person to have access to care and support. WORLD DIABETES DAY!

To all the patients, families, and professionals living with diabetes: you are seen. You are supported. You are valued. If you have been putting off a check-up, today is a good day to talk to someone because early detection and support can make a big difference.

Here in Abuja and beyond, we pledge to provide awareness, screening and caring environments where no one feels alone in managing their health.

At Queen Amina Medical Integration we believe that prevention, education and access save lives.

We are grateful for how far we have come. At Queen Amina Medical Integration, every single day reminds us that small actions can create real change. What started as a simple idea which is helping people access healthcare in exchange for their recyclable plastic waste has now changed 25,000 lives and communities.

We see mothers getting medicine for their children, families keeping their surroundings clean, and young people finding purpose in protecting the environment.

We want to say THANK YOU!

To everyone who brings their plastics, to our amazing team who never gives up, and to our partners who believe in our dream of a healthier and cleaner Nigeria. We are proving that health and sustainability can go hand in hand.
