We successfully held a powerful and impactful panel session organized by the Association of Resident Doctors, Federal University of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, Azare, focused on the sub-theme:
“Burnout, Work-Life Balance, and Business Sustainability among Doctors.”
The panel session took place on Wednesday, 10th December 2025, at the Conference Hall, Old Site, FMC Azare.
Our representative who is the Head of Youth engagement and Operations Department had the honor of sitting on the panel alongside distinguished professionals:
Prof. Bello Ibrahim – Consultant Cardiologist,
Dean, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare,
Public Relations Officer, Nigerian Medical Association, Bauchi State.
Dr. Muhammad Mustapha – Senior Registrar, Department of Radiology,
North East Caucus Leader, Nigeria Association of Resident Doctors,
Secretary, Nigerian Medical Association, Bauchi State,
Past President, Association of Resident Doctors.
The session was expertly moderated by Dr. Yakubu Bababa Shirama, Consultant Radiologist and Head of Clinical Services, Federal Medical Center, Misau. His moderation made the discussion practical, engaging, and deeply insightful.
We had open and honest conversations on burnout in the medical profession, the importance of work-life balance, and how doctors and healthcare workers can build sustainable businesses without losing their core purpose of service.
The event also featured a dinner and award ceremony to celebrate doctors who have shown exceptional courage, dedication, and commitment to their work. It was a moment of appreciation for those who continue to serve despite the many challenges of the profession.
We are grateful to the organizers for the opportunity and our representative is always proud to be part of conversations that shape a healthier and more sustainable future for healthcare workers.
