Check baby's head for a soft, swollen bump that does not cross suture lines. Monitor size daily, watch for changes in skin color, and report any rapid swelling or unusual behavior to the doctor.❤️

Placenta Previa

We all know in a normal setting, placenta usually attaches toward the top of the womb , away from the cervix.

But in Placenta previa, the placenta partly or completely covers the cervix, which is the opening of the womb .

There are different types of placenta previa.

Some do allow for va**nal birth while others don't.

If your placenta covers your cervix , va**nal delivery is not advised.

If its doesn't cover your cervix but slightly close, your doctor will decide it's faraway enough from the cervix for you to be allowed to have a va**na delivery

Some points you need to note🚫

You might be placed on bed rest if you have placenta previa

You will not know you have placenta previa until an ultrasound is performed.
That’s why you don't skip your antenatal.

Do not have s*x during pregnancy if you have placenta previa.
There is a high risk of bleeding.

Do not try to deliver va**nally if you have placenta previa unless your doctor tells you it’s possible to do so !!!

You can bleed profusely which can cost you your life.
Your baby might die as well if not dealt with immediately

Do not allow anyone to examine you va**nally unless it’s very necessary.
You can bleed as a result of that.

Don't allow any pastor to convince you to have a va**nal delivery.
If you die you will do so alone.

If you notice any Bleeding, seek help from a hospital that is able to perform an emergency C-SECTION, stop massive Bleeding and give you a blood transfusion should it be necessary.

Dont compare your pregnancy to someone else's.
Every woman is unique.

Below is a photo of what the placenta looks like.

Take a look at how big the blood vessels are. It will give you a fair idea as to how much and how fast you can bleed out should anything go wrong.

Placenta previa is not same as low lying placenta
