Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi Invites applications for the 2025/2026 Admission into SHIM Full-Time Programmes

AVAILABLE COURSES:
1. National Diploma (ND) in Health Information Management
2. Higher National Diploma (HND) in Health Information Management

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

* For National Diploma (ND):
- Five O'level credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in max two sittings).
- 2025 UTME with required cutoff point.
- JAMB subject combination: English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics.

* For Higher National Diploma (HND):
- Five O'level credits in core subjects (English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
- ND in Health Information Management or Health Records Technician with at least lower credit.
- Current practicing license.
- Completion of one-year mandatory IT from accredited health institutions.
- Candidates with ND "Pass" and two years of cognate experience may be considered.

DURATION:
- Both ND and HND programmes span two academic sessions (four semesters).

APPLICATION PROCESS:
- Obtain screening PINs from the school's admission office via Remita payment.
- ND application fee: ₦5,000
- HND application fee: ₦10,000

SCREENING:
Shortlisted applicants will undergo screening tests and interviews.

SALES OF ADMISSION FORM

The School of Health Information Management at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, is pleased to announce that applications are currently being accepted from suitably qualified candidates for the National Diploma program in Health Information Management for 2024/2025 academic session.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
* Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) Ordinary Level (O'Level) credits obtained in not more than two (2) sittings. These credits must include:
* English Language
* Mathematics
* Biology
* Chemistry
* Physics

* Applicants must have a valid Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) result.

APPLICATION PROCESS
1. APPLICATION FEE: Applicants are required to purchase an application scratch card at the cost of five thousand Naira (N5000.00) only.

2. ONLINE APPLICATION: Visit the School's website at http://shim.atbuth.gov.ng and register to create an online application form. Once registered, upload all required documents as specified by the School.

3. PRINTING OF FIELD APPLICATION FORM: Upon completing the online application and uploading documents, print a copy of the application form and entrance examination slip.
