Success of SSHI’s 4th Anniversary and Volunteers Workshop
The Shape Society Health Initiative - SSHI marked its 4th Anniversary with an impactful Volunteers Workshop that brought together youth leaders, health professionals, and community advocates from across Nigeria. The event celebrated four years of promoting youth-led health action and sustainable community engagement.
Theme: One action at a time: Building a healthy society
The workshop featured expert-led sessions, interactive discussions, and skill-building activities focused on leadership, teamwork, and effective communication in volunteerism. Participants include public health students, NGO volunteers, and community health enthusiasts.
Key speaker included Dr Antor Ndep and panellists Mr Kator Igbudu, Mr Imo Uchenna and Ms Molly Ogbodum, who shared insights on Understanding Volunteering: Building Purpose, Skills, and Community Impact; Balancing Volunteering with Studies or Work; Misconceptions About Volunteering; and Communication, Teamwork, and Leadership in Volunteering.
