PLEASE, EMEGBULA MMADU IBEGI. DO NOT MALTREAT ANYBODY.
As we journey into 2026, let us remember one truth our elders never stopped teaching us:
“Mmadu ka ego. Mmadu ka ihe.”
A human being is greater than money. A human being is greater than possessions.
Please, do not maltreat anybody, especially those who work for you, those who do not have a voice, those who cannot speak up, those who have no platform, no camera, no connections.
In our culture, we were taught that power is a responsibility, not a weapon. But today, many people wear “boss” like a crown and forget that tomorrow does not ask for permission. Some people say they are helping others, but they only help those that already have a voice. They help the “important people.” They help the ones that can speak on camera, defend them publicly, and protect their image when trouble comes.
Meanwhile, the ones that truly work for them, the silent ones, the less privileged, the ones that don’t matter to society, they are treated like nothing.
They will smile in your face and laugh with you, but behind you, they send others to maltreat you. They don’t dirty their hands; they use systems, fear, and power. They pretend to be kind in public, but in private, they break spirits. This is not leadership. This is wickedness wrapped in respectability.
Another proverb says, “Onye fee eze, eze eruo ya.”
The one you serve today may be the one judging your case tomorrow.
Please remember: God sees in secret.
God does not need a camera to record wickedness.
God does not need witnesses to judge oppression.
If you are a boss, remember, you are not God.
If people work for you, they are not your slaves.
They are someone’s answered prayer. Someone’s child. Someone’s destiny.
Do not pay someone peanuts and expect loyalty.
Do not treat people like tools and expect blessings.
Do not oppress the poor and think prayers will cover it.
The Bible says:
“Whatever a man sows, that he shall reap.”
Not maybe. Not if. He shall.
This 2026, if you will not change anything else in your life, change how you treat people. Change how you speak when you have power. Change how you treat those who cannot fight back. Change the habit of helping only those that can defend you while destroying the ones that serve you silently.
Because life has a way of turning tables without notice.
Because tomorrow is not promised to position.
Because God does not stand with the oppressor forever.
Emegbula mmadu ibigi
Do not destroy a human being.
Do not crush another person’s spirit.
Do not turn someone’s sweat into tears.
At the end of it all, it will not be how loud your generosity was, but how pure your heart was. It will not be how many people defended you publicly, but how many you treated justly privately.
May 2026 teach us humility.
May it teach us empathy.
May it teach us that power without kindness is empty.
And may God help us become better humans, not just successful ones.
